Screwed Up Threads, Damaged Thread Repair on the Horizontal Boring Mill

Update This repair was done this way as this is what the customer specified. I suggested many different alternatives, but this is what they ultimately wanted. There is no push/pull force on these bolts, only screwed in by hand to engage a shaft for lifting. My understanding of the damage was something got in with the thread on the inside and made a mess removing it. Update
The interesting jobs keep coming. This lifting device has a damaged thread. After much consideration and discussion with the customer, we came up with a solution they were happy with.
Bore and make a threaded insert to replace the bad thread.
This is the first video with the new camera. so far I see huge improvement in video quality and lighting. first, but definitely not the last in improvements.
