Love watching you guys shop. You are so polite and kind to people. I don’t like running into greedy unpolite people at garage sales. Part of the fun of garage sales is meeting new people and talking to them. Always interesting to hear the history behind some of the pieces.
Loved the video! The milk glass is so pretty! And I loved the glass sets as well - my parents had a set of tumblers with the holder back in the 60s - don’t know where it is now! And I’d have fought you over your tee shirts - particularly loved the Canadian girl one, and I AM permanently tired too! Great finds! Look forward to the next!😂❤️😂
Loved the logos on those shirts ~ found one myself the other day that said, "I'm not a social butteryfly...more like a sarcastic moth" and, like you, just had to get it!🤣 And, yes, we DO love Canadian girls ~ at least one of them (plus her guy)❤
I have a dresser like that one in black and I plan on repaint it one day. The Everyone Loves A Canadian Girl tee reminds me of an old motto I had (I grew up and spent most of my life in Southern California): You can take the girl out of SoCal, but you can never take SoCal out of the girl.
Hey just curious because those people were so cool...have guys ever met anyone at their yard sale/garage sale and become friends with them? By the way Karen you really know your milk glass because I never paid attention before but when you were looking at them you noted that one piece that you said you liked was because you said it was older than the other pieces. I could totally tell when you get the close ups and break down of each piece at the end. That was awesome to see from your perspective 😮 😊!!
Just wondering what Karen was looking for with the milk glass to tell if it new or old? I find it all the time and would like to know what I'm looking at. ❤
The fruit bowl is likely from the 70's. Really old antique milk glass isn't as "solid white" and it will have a "ring of fire" on the outer edge kind of like a sunset. Ok that's the end of my knowledge. Lol
Old milk glass will typically display a property called 'The Riing Of Fire' where there is like an orang-ish glow of light shining thru the glass, typically near the edge, when it is held up to a bright light.
I’ve never looked at an anniversary as a day of buying things for each other. It’s just more on an emotional level.

Those glasses in carriers are Dorothy Thorpe glasses, worth some money especially in there carriers.!!!!!!
I do like when you have a laugh about Canadian stuff ❤❤❤
4 pieces for 5 bucks nice deal 😊
Are those Dorothy Thorpe silver banded glasses? If so they're worth a lot more than your estimates!
You know they do look like it, that's a score!
I don’t think that Dorothy Thorpe did a fade.
@@savinggraaceI agree with you. Solid silver band no fade.

How can you tell if the milk glass is not old?

Hey Rob, try a old wooden pants hanger for Karen’s leggings. I can hear you cussing stretching them…..
I have the milkglass grape punch bowl and cups . That’s a nice piece.
Make May 11th your A Anniversary.
Rob,hmmmm sounds like Karen would like an ‘official date’ ♥️
