Sherrie Lynn: Nah, simple was the 50s and 60s when we played "War" in our tree forts. We launched surprise attacks (with rocks) on the kids in another fort one street up from us. That was the shit we lived for!
This was AWESOME!! The song choice was PERFECT! I could not stop smiling just thinking back on the memories of my childhood. Gets me emotional thinking about it because we'll never get that time back or ever again experience what it was like to truly live without fear and have actual relationships and innocent fun with kids you barely knew, but would take a bullet for back then. Pure nostalgia!! Two thumbs up!
Roman Alexander my thoughts exactly I was singing along the whole time I think I miss the raggedy Ann and the sitnspin the most. I loved the pogo ball and stick too but I had kind of a difficult time with it because I am an awkward human being.
Born 77, yup, very familiar with all the toys you have on here. Had most of them. Things will never be the same like they were. Awesome and memorable time period for me!!!
The best of the 70's and 80's. You missed jacks, Chinese jump rope, lemon skip and paddle ball but your list made me relive my entire childhood! Great job. 💜
Heh Lemon skip. Whoever thought of that was a genius. Cheap plastic tubing attached to a cheap hollow plastic yellow ball... and they made us love it. I remember pleading for it as a kid.
I wish that I had a time capsule back in the 80s and could put every single one of my 80s toys in it and then FF today I open that time capsule and get my 80s toys in 2017. Thanks for the memories and Perfect song choice.

Wasn't a little kid...but I had my kid in 79 so...it was my all time favorite decade as well. My Dad and grandparents were still alive...I remember The Breakfast Club and this song well. Sasha T growing up in chicago we did that all the time i remember there was 2 poles in the basement and we had a square box like a speaker but it was lights that would light up when you it would sense sounds. I'm 50 now and still skate!

Some of those toys originated from the late '60s and '70s. While many other '80s toys weren't listed. But nonetheless this is a nice video, it brings back awesome memories of the times in life when humans were actually Sociable creatures and you could interact with someone without being ignored. These days, everyone's got their heads up inside a smartphone's ass, makes you wanna kick em really hard to get their undivided attention!
The craziest toy story I remember from the 80’s was a waiting list my mom had to get on for a cabbage patch doll, and she paid like $60 for it...nuts! There were stories of people trampling and fighting each other to get their hands on these dolls. I did love my cabbage patch, Jordana Mimi with the red yarn pigtail braids. I loved the 80’s. ❤️
We had lawn darts when I was a kid. Nearly killed the dog a few times on accident. Jeff Foxworthy once said if you caught a lawn dart in the head, you were getting coloring books for Christmas the rest of your life.
+Chris B A friend of mine took one of those to the shoulder blade, went in a good six inches down to the collarbone. Best part was they kept them afterwards! Hey, we knew they would work at least.
Too bad that the government banned the stores from selling them. Me and my whole family use to play them when I was a kid. My brother got hit in the leg with one. Fun times. LoL
Kristian Akseth glad someone else knows the truth about Go-Bots. I hate when people say go-boys ripped of transformers when it was in fact the other way around. The reason transformers got so popular was because they had more advanced transformations. Go boys generally had simple transformations like the hood spins to become a face and the car doors become arms and the back end fold out to legs. transformers had parts that had to be folded into other parts before they could transform and they had more articulated parts.
Thank you so much for sharing all those wonderful toys. My kids were born 1980 and 1984 and I guarantee you they had just about everyone of those toys in our house at one time during those years. And they loved every bit of them
My parents were to poor to buy me all the cool 80’s toys.... but now that I’m an adult with children we have everything we want . Thanks to my upbringing. Thanks mom and dad.
Great vid, mate. Didn't get Thundercats, Dino Riders, Sheriff Bravestar, or Bionic 6 tho. And my buddy mentioned M.A.S.K. too. That was the bomb. Also, i think the Sega Master system was from the 80's.
Good job on the video, but I have to point out some discrepancies....Lincoln Logs were marketed around 1918, Easy bake Oven came out in 1963, Rock-em Sock-em Robots came out in 1964, and Sit n Spin came out in 1973. Tough Tonka Trucks...well, I won't even get into that. So yea this is a fun video to watch but maybe you should just remove "80's" from the title eh? ;-) Lol. Thanks for the fun memories RAVN52AOL.
LOL, GoBots were not a Transformers knock off but actually came out before Transformers. Didn't see stompers or slinky in there or things like the Rubix snake.
MrJazz921 That's the first thing I said when I saw them in the video, "Go-Bots came first!!!" I'm glad I'm not the only one who remembers! Everyone thinks I'm nuts when I say that.
I have grandchilden and have bought them most of these or they use my son's, who was born in 1978. My favorite is probably the pound puppie. I lost my son in the Marines, but his adopted lb puppy sits in the bedroom in his memory bag. So many great toys! Thanks for sharing.
Kenneth Rojas technology sadly happened..it's a good thing don't get me wrong but I used to play outside when I was kid.. now kids just play videos games or play on their smartphone..I had a childhood before technology ruined it..I played with play doh..made mud pies..had a tire swing..and used my imagination..if toys today don't "do things" most kids don't know how to play with them..sad
Some of these toys go back to the 70's and probably before that, I remember etch a Sketch, View Master, Tonka Truck made of metal and Lincoln Logs from my earlier childhood way back in the early 70's as I was born 67.
I had many of those, most memorable being the Commodore 64 set up just as they show in the vid: color monitor, disc drive, and keyboard. Cost me at least $1,000 around 1986, paid for by a paper route. Had the doctor kit also, so had to make sure all the neighborhood girls and my friends cousins were "healthy".
Cinephile, those could be worth something. Actually looked it up and you may have about $70 worth of merchandise. www.transformerland.com/wiki/mask/original-mask-series/
That was put together awesome. Great job adding the Garbage Pail kids the madballs the Nintendo. Oh yeah and sea monkeys are brine shrimp. Thanks again. PS laser tag always look like it would work so great and then it worked very poorly. Ha no way!
This makes me happy and sad. My dad died in 1983 I was seven. So my mom raised 3 of us on a single income. So if she did good that year we would get a Simon says for the whole family. But on the bad years... no Teddy Ruxpin.... oh well me and my sisters still turned out good... peace... my kids are x box and cell phone heads... they would not get hardly any of this...
Ricky Bobby Most of them got iPhones as their special "toy." my cousins are now 9 & 13, & they didnt even have toys, they were spoiled, so all they know is phones and iPods. They got their first phones at 6 & 10.. sad.
NOPE what they call "toys" are your smart devices and electronic gadgets.....shit I remember on warm evenings I'd ride my bike Just before dinner and if it was still daylight walk with my family until dusk got darker.
I was born in 2004 and experienced literally almost all of these, cooties, the doctor set, hungry hippos, lincoln logs, I could go on. I just miss the early 2000’s I can’t imagine actually living as a child in the 70’s-80’s, must be MAJOR nostalgia.
I agree some 70s stuff in there. Does any one remember the big wheel that you steered with two sticks rather than the handle bars? I believe they were green
Hell Yeah! Bella Legosi, Twas called the "Green Machine" and it was bado (to use the parlance of the day). It was the sports car of the toddler bikes. Big Wheel was like a family sedan. On the Green Machine you rode as fast as you could then yanked the sticks in opposite directions and got an instant spin out. SOOOO fun.
I remember having all this in the 80's...as a kid I didn't know that time was gonna change...if I did, I would've kept & stored everything I ever had back in the 80's
JesusSaves NYC yep! If we all knew what was ahead we probably enjoyed and appreciate the 80's more!!!
Omg my childhood all in this video. The 80s were the best.. So simple and fun..

No totally not wrong 80's and 90's were awesome eras.....but like they say all good things must come to to an end end and sadly it has :'(

Lite-Brite! And the pop up game perfection was my fav!! Love the 80s!!
SIT N SPIN. I am so excited someone besides me remembers my favorite toy ever.
Mandy Miller that toy was absolutely useless. Of all the great toys, you chose the sit and spin? Ughh
I still have this very one...the paper pieces have peeled off from being in hot storage, but I still have a few pieces. This was my favorite also!
It was one of my favorites when I was a young tot in the early 80s.
That and the big wheel!!!!
Mandy Miller: One of my favorite put-downs was "Get down on my face then Sit and Spin". I was baaad!

The Glow work was a piece of shit!!

Correction Gobots actually came out BEFORE Transformers.
"Gobots were released five months before the first Transformers hit the shelves."

Raven Wood I thought about stretch too. Even though he came out in the 70s he was popular for years.
The original Stretch Arm Strong came out in the 1970s.
Still around today Stretch Arm Strong.
I have grandchilden and have bought them most of these or they use my son's, who was born in 1978. My favorite is probably the pound puppie. I lost my son in the Marines, but his adopted lb puppy sits in the bedroom in his memory bag. So many great toys! Thanks for sharing.
What happened to all those toys?
Kenneth Rojas technology sadly happened..it's a good thing don't get me wrong but I used to play outside when I was kid.. now kids just play videos games or play on their smartphone..I had a childhood before technology ruined it..I played with play doh..made mud pies..had a tire swing..and used my imagination..if toys today don't "do things" most kids don't know how to play with them..sad
Some of these toys go back to the 70's and probably before that, I remember etch a Sketch, View Master, Tonka Truck made of metal and Lincoln Logs from my earlier childhood way back in the early 70's as I was born 67.
the majority is from the 70s
I had many of those, most memorable being the Commodore 64 set up just as they show in the vid: color monitor, disc drive, and keyboard. Cost me at least $1,000 around 1986, paid for by a paper route. Had the doctor kit also, so had to make sure all the neighborhood girls and my friends cousins were "healthy".
What about m.a.s.k
+Jamie Ellice Still have the bad guys' black bronco-like truck and the purple motorcycle with sidecar in a box somewhere. Loved these!
Cinephile, those could be worth something. Actually looked it up and you may have about $70 worth of merchandise.

What about Digital Derby?
Jamie Ellice He got a lot of them but 4got a couple of them.
Some of these toys are from the 70s and my brothers and I had all of these toys! Those were the good old days for sure! Great childhood memories.

This makes me happy and sad. My dad died in 1983 I was seven. So my mom raised 3 of us on a single income. So if she did good that year we would get a Simon says for the whole family. But on the bad years... no Teddy Ruxpin.... oh well me and my sisters still turned out good... peace... my kids are x box and cell phone heads... they would not get hardly any of this...
kids don't even have toys anymore, do they?
Ricky Bobby Most of them got iPhones as their special "toy." my cousins are now 9 & 13, & they didnt even have toys, they were spoiled, so all they know is phones and iPods. They got their first phones at 6 & 10.. sad.
I still have my toys and I'll admit..
I still play with them and I really want an original Teddy Ruxpin

Dank Furby I do too. I still have the legos from the 80s...
NOPE what they call "toys" are your smart devices and electronic gadgets.....shit I remember on warm evenings I'd ride my bike
Just before dinner and if it was still daylight walk with my family until dusk got darker.
And wait there is much much more!
Thanks for the trip down memory lane born in 1962
Go bots came before transformers. So even though transformers were way better they were the go bot knockoff
just like the real ghostbusters was to ghostbusters.
80's was the greatest time to grow up. Best toys and the inventor of the one hit wonder . The music was the best though.
Where is Alphie?
Michelangelo Gräser That's what I said! Loved my Alfie!
Ikr. I had an Alphie when I was little & thought for sure I'd see him on here. I did see a bunch of other toys that were in my toybox tho. 😊
I was born in 2004 and experienced literally almost all of these, cooties, the doctor set, hungry hippos, lincoln logs, I could go on. I just miss the early 2000’s I can’t imagine actually living as a child in the 70’s-80’s, must be MAJOR nostalgia.
Big Wheel is from the 70's... we started off wrong already
The Sit n Spin too it came out in 1973.
David mcmullen yes I had a big wheel n sit nspin 70s kid here
I agree some 70s stuff in there. Does any one remember the big wheel that you steered with two sticks rather than the handle bars? I believe they were green
Don't remember Sega until the 90s
Hell Yeah! Bella Legosi,
Twas called the "Green Machine" and it was bado (to use the parlance of the day). It was the sports car of the toddler bikes. Big Wheel was like a family sedan. On the Green Machine you rode as fast as you could then yanked the sticks in opposite directions and got an instant spin out. SOOOO fun.
Wow this brings back lots of memories. I loved most of this toys as a kid. Great video 👍
Rainbow Brite gets no love here? So sad. :(
Or Care Bears, Wuzzles, Gummi Bears...?
...oh, and Keypers and Snugglebumms...
WOW These toys bring back memories in old days in the 80s when I was a kid. Thanks for sharing your video.
