When Cochlear’s product managers and research audiologists set out to design Kanso, they wanted to meet recipients’ needs; and therefore, designed a discreet and simple sound processor, without compromising hearing performance, quality or reliability.
“We want to make sure that we get the product as reliable as we possibly can, so we have included a host of tests way beyond what the industry requires,” explains Emir Delic, system project manager. “We do all the testing possible to ensure that Kanso will be as reliable as it can be.”

I have nuclease 7 cochlear implants on both sides and Im actually getting a kanso my parents gonna buy for me bc Im insecure of wearing it in public and Im glad theres kanso 2 I can just put it on my head instead of ear and nobody would have to see it I cant wait to get these devices!
My son done cochlear implant but he is facing problem of scalp infection again and again where the magnet attach, what should I do?

I have the nuclease 7 and I had the same problem my audiologist recommended to try a weaker magnet to make it feel comfortable for the skin

Also I have problems with pronunciation, so I have an accent. I have a close friend and he has Nucleus 7 and speaks like he is from our country. People ask me every time "where are you from, you don't look like you are from here etc, etc which is very annoying for me. I suggest you guys don't buy this. I am warning you because you will suffer a lot just like me. It is better if you get Nucleus 7 or 8. If you don't have money for Nucleus 7 or 8, buy KANSO 2 but DO NOT BUY KANSO 1. You will suffer a lot. Don't buy it. You can't understand anything with Kanso 1. And also I am not lying, if you think I am lying it's your problem.''

Attractive and easy to use..but what about the safety features designed to secure the device to the head. Seems to me would be quite easy to lose or fall off if the head was impacted in any way. So the other issue is the cost..what is the cost of each unit and is it completely water proof??
stevenwoods777 it is very safe , u choose the power of the magnet , and it doesn't fall off easily (am active too)

I have a Baha 5 processor and I find that designed to be a bit bulky I'm guessing it uses magnetic technology to keep it on to the skull a piece of advice would be to shrink the size a bit down to the size of a Baha 5

Kanso is so big in size. Do you foresee the sound processor to be fitted inside of the ear canal and completely hidden from outside?
My mom has a Kanso and i am getting one soon. In person it appears smaller than the videos and photos. In future upgrades if they can make it a bit thinner I think it will be perfect.

I am N7 bilateral CIs. I picked N7 BTE over Kanso because N7's magnets are thinner than a thicky Kanso like Rondo. That isn't my style.

How do you secure it on the heads of children? especially during playing and gymnastics? Doesn't seem like a good idea to put that expensive of a product on a child's head that can easily fall off. Also how small it is makes it hard to find if it were to fall to the ground. There should be a cell phone app that has a tracking device...like a gps tracker to locate such a device.

I think you should start with teaching your child to take care of it.
I use a cap, visor or band to secure my N6 .
N7 has tracking, GPS , iPhone compatible .
For most kanso when they just get it they a little clip thing that attaches to it I just got my cochlear implant updated to a kanso maybe like a year ago and I always use the clip with it because I don't want it to fall off and break
