That’s probably the coil laminations vibrating. soak in heat resisting varnish, or pack out to stop any movement, again, heat resisting!

Is it possible a main contactor not working when in reverse polarity? Like in a mini electric car. When o go forward everything works..when in reverse the main contactor disconnect and the car shuts off.
