it just clicked to me how nightmarish air raids must have been for someone who was, say, 60 in WWII. You would have distinct memories of a world essentially without flight. Now not only is flight around to stay, but you're literally watching the world you've always known, your home, be blasted away by hulking metal behemoths flying threw the sky in the hundreds. I genuinely can't imagine what that must be like.

From French-men to English-me, to Germans, to other Americans, Russians, and pretty much every other well-industrialized nation at the time. If humanity were to be an aquatic species, we would look similar but with different features. Our body would be more streamlined and with fins to maximize speed. Our eyes wouldn't be needed, maybe we would rely on echolocation like dolphins. We would have hair to provide warmth for us. Our skin color would be blueish in nature for camouflage. We wouldn't have become sentient due to no ability to make fire, as it incentivized intelligence. The ocean is a bit too hostile to allow for any sentience to develop, only way is for us to grow two legs and then walk on land. We would remain as instinct driven competitors to dolphins, being hunted by sharks and stuff.

From observing the soaring of seagulls in updrafts, that the birds would make slight changes in the shape of the wing to remain on station. These slight corrective changes were what achieved the stability that had eluded previous heavy than air attempts.

The first stealth plane was build by germans in WW2:
    *Horten H IX* (Horton 229)
    Höchstgeschwindigkeit: 977 km/h
    Länge: 7,47 m
    Motortyp: Junkers Jumo 004
    Erstflug: 1. März 1944
    Hersteller: Gothaer Waggonfabrik
    Stückzahl: 3 bekannte Prototypen
    Topspeed: 977 km/h
    lenght: 7,47 m
    Motortype: Junkers Jumo 004
    First flight: 1. March 1944
    Manufacturer: Gothaer Waggonfabrik
    Quantity: 3 known prototypes
It was mostly made out of wood cause of resource shortages. If it came out a few years earlier, the allied forces, especialy the brits would have been in great trouble. I once saw a documenty about the plane and they testet it for its stealth abilities. The brits would have something like a minute to react after it shows up on radar, and the Horton is way to fast and manuverable for the spitfire.

    Few extra WWI plane facts:
Pilots had to where multiple layers of coats and such in order to stay warm. They would fly at heights that are actually illegal to fly at today in America without extra oxygen.
Furthermore, the guns being on top of the planes were not always used by a second person. For many planes, the pilot would have to stand up out of his pilot sit, control the plane with his legs, and fire his machine gun in short burst. The clip (actually not called a clip) in the machine guns can be emptied in less than a minute. If he emptied it, they would have to change the clip for second and last one, with process that is A LOT more complicated than it you may imagine.
Also, the cockpits were super small. Like child size small.

Thats actually a good one. Native americans and far east siberians would have more similarities, although they would still be vulnerable to european diseases. And once the european powers entered America, and then the Russian Empire expanded all the way across Siberia, they would meet. Alaskian and Canadian demographics and culture would be different, as it would have more russian blood in it. Maybe Alaska would even remain russian, and there could be some disputes with Canada as the russians might wanted to expand even further in. But due to the remotness of said land bridge if it existed, I'm not sure it would change much of history in regards to World War I and II. Until the Cold War that is. Imagine the Cold War but with US and USSR having an actual land connection.

Of course we're still making advancements to this day so there's no end in sight but if you were going to use any event as the seminal event in aviation, it might as well be the lunar landing.
