Had experiance of 15 years in supply chain, worked in Conforama as business administrator. Problem is I dont have any degree in supply chain but Masters in Mathematics way back in 2004. Moved to Canada recently, resides in Brampton and looking to get Supply chain courses so can get a good job here.
Hi Jameel, I really appreciate your sharing knowledge and comprehending them for us to get into the world of SCM. I recently watched one of your videos: the entry-level SCM positions and skills required. That was informative and easy to absorb. after graduating university, I came head on to being a Restaurant Manager for 5 years (running the operations, purchasing, dealing with vendors, customers, and staff management, inventory and cost control, etc. all those shebang.). However, I have 2 degrees, my background is International Business/ Finance major; and second one is Supply Chain & Operations. I recently resigned. Please advise how I can transit into a career in SCM, convincing employers of the transferable skills I've honed from my past experience. Thank You so much. Hope to hear back from you
Hi - Definitely you can bring in many transferable skills from the Restaurant Manager experience. My suggestion would be to explore Customer Service or Logistics jobs as you may find it harder to get into Planning roles.
Sir, I am currently studying in 12 th Grade Commerce stream. Please Suggest how should I enter into SCM and certificate (skills) required for freshers.

Sir, Which certification is better to get in logistics, APICS-CLTD or CILT and is there any education platform in India that offers this certifications
Hello sir i have completed bcom this year and along with study i am working in fulfilment centre from about 4 years now. I want to make career in this field what should i do now?
Instead of an MBA in Supply Chain just take the APICS CSCP Certification and try to get a better job within supply chain or a promotion in your existing company. Remember that experience matters more than degrees in Supply Chain.

Hi Kamran.. What direct Supply Chain responsibilities did you have at Conforama? Business Admin doesn’t sound like a supply chain role.
