Honestly she's better than Acheron. She's also better than Rappa and Boothill, not in the sense of absolute speedrun. Idk how the 0 cyclers think about them, but at E0S1 Firefly performs better every other DPS except for Feixiao maybe (I dont have Feixiao so I cant say). Rappa and Boothill maybe is better than Firefly, but thats with their most optimal enemy lineups and Maximum investment backed by vigorous theorycrafting. And even with that, they're better by like what, 0.3 cycles. For Firefly, all she needs is 360% BE in battle, HMC, RM, 155 speed and try the MOC without any strategies that require planning and she can pretty much do better than what these guys do at high investments
releasing another nihility support for acheron will make her e2 useless . im a acheron main and lets just accept the fact that new dps are kinda better now
im being 100% honest, once acheron's team gets fully realized we will already have a better debuff reliant dps, look at jing yuan, look at himeko (our first break dps), look at QQ (with dhil), look at argenti (with a certain witch character that will be released LEAKERS), i could go on and on with that.

I like the idea of units like Acheron and Herta, generalized DPS that just “work” with anyone in their path because of flat stat boosts. However it’s a hit a or miss with that kind of thought process. No matter what happens, they basically just scale with however many of “this path” characters are good at supporting (ONLY TALKING ABOUT E0, I know Acheron just throws this out the window with E2). Arguably acheron does have a sustain, but it's hyper invested e2s1 aventurine. Which clashes with fua comps. No big deal to me because I'm dot/superbreak mostly. That isn't to say that she shouldn't by now have someone has the stack potential of e2s1 aventurine but in base kit. Kind of ridiculous there forcing a whole new archetype for summons, when they're already fua. How many hard support catered to fua should they get, because it's fuckin ridiculous.

Boothill is one of the best 0 cyclers in the game and he is a break dps. You are talking about superbreak (ff, rappa) and lets be honest, e0 firefly is as good as Jingliu was in 1.4 and will be outclassed in the same way in 3.x. They released Fugue not as an improvement for the superbreak time but as a side grade (for firefly, she is insane for rappa and boothill) to hmc on e0 since hmc will be replaced by rmc.

The cope on Acheron is getting wild in these comment sections. E0S1 Aventurine is your premium sustain, you have a dedicated support in JQ, and have the choice of 5+ units to fill in the final team slot. Meanwhile in a Fei Xiao team there have 2 fours star units, and a 1.X sub-dps/support, Robin is to Fei Xiao what JQ is to Acheron, and Aventurine is being run because we don’t have an ATK scaling healer who does the same thing. People acting like she’ll get some massive power spike in the future are delusional, especially when compared to the other top DPS or even future DPS.
I don't think it's very fair to compare them; Even before watching the video I know you're going to use Gallagher/ Lingsha, HMC, and Ruan Mei with Firefly, which are all best in slots for her. but Acheron doesn't have those kinds of best in slots - she has characters that go well with her, but she doesn't have characters whose kits are built with her in mind (Except for the blind fox, but that's just one unit out of three teammates needed)

On your point about not using the kit, just like ruan Mei + firefly, E6 acheron does not use most of sparkle's kit. Because E6 causes skill and basic attacks to count as ultimate dmg. This renders most crit based supports useless, as crit does not help with ultimate dmg over a certain percentage. The reason jiaoqiu is good with her is because he increases ultimate damage, while aventurine and sparkle increase crit dmg- which is why they are not best in slots for her, because as said earlier, crit does not help much with ultimate dmg. I feel like your point with the second paragraph answers the question you asked in your last paragraph, because fugue will make super break better. But almost none of acheron's team synergies with her because of the divide I keep mentioning between ultimate and crit. For the third paragraph Acheron's supports would need to increase ultimate dmg, like jiaoqiu does- which is why he is a BIS for acheron in ten first place- while focusing less on crit. Final paragraph: as I said earlier, Fugue would be the one making break teams better.

Even the Quantum attack bonus, which stacks with SW if you run her with Acheron. E6 uses EVERY PART. Even E0 does if you run sustainless. Sparkle buffs attack, crit, and damage multiplier, which all scale with EVERY part of Acheron's kit. Even the action advance. Crit doesn't help? If you are refering to diminishing returns, you are correct but Sparkle alone is not CLOSE to enough for you to receive diminishing returns. And even having ultimate damage res like Jiaoqiu, diminishing returns apply to ALL damage buffs. So having Sparkle and JQ is more beneficial than running JQ with another ult buffer. Just test it out in Sim Uni, damage boost with ultimate damage gets lower the more you stack on. "Crit does not help ultimate damage" It does. Also Aventurine has damage boost as well as provide 2 different debuffs at E0S1, and 3 at E2S1 (which if you have E6 you prob have E2S1 Aventurine), and above this I also said why Sparkle is best in slot. They are not the same. My first paragraph refers to not every part of a character's kit needs to benefit one character fully. Not even the BiS FUA team and BiS Break team have this. My second paragraph is refering to Acheron already having a complete team under this premise. Fugue won't synergize because it is recognized that Acheron has a BiS team already. Break doesn't. HMC is a F2P unit, it is only natural they make a 5 star to replace him. Acheron has JQ, Sparkle, and Aventurine. Again, only Sparkles skill buffs crit, she AA's Acheron which is why she is so valuable. and no, Ultimate buff wouldn't help unless they make the multipliers the highest in the game, which is artificial improvement because she would just be overtaken again when others get artificially buffed. But the main problem isn't about the buffs themselves, explain to me what PATH it would be? Harmony? Nihility? I know Fugue is for superbreak. But you said superbreak has it's best team. Which makes him bis for ANY DPS THAT USES ULTIMATE FOR MAIN SOURCE OF DMG (argenti, seele, even feixiao is amazing with him.) Second point about sparkle. Yes, I am talking about diminishing returns. And yes, with just sparkle and an E6 S5 acheron, sparkle does reach the limit- I have tested. If we want to bring the action advance and dmg buff into it, then sparkle is not as good as broyna. 2nd paragraph: thank you for clarifying, but I don't really think that argument works well in this scenario. Look at ruan mei's kit: skill- increases break efficiency by 50 percent, and gives a straight DMG buff (That is used by break effect) ultimate- extends weakness break. Passive- increases allies' speed. These are all things that break effect thrives on. Again I'll have to apologize, I don't really understand what your third paragraph means, so I'm not able to make a defence against that argument. For the thing you said about paths, I also don't understand the logic behind this. It doesn't really matter which path it is, as any path can give buffs or debuffs. The argument I am trying to make is that it is not fair to compare a break effect character- that has supports that are made specifically for it's kind of damage, and will continue to have more later in the game (which I'm not denying will happen, I was making my argument with the current playable supports.)- to acheron, who is one of two characters that relies on ultimate damage (her and argenti) and does not have as many supports that synchronize with her kit as well as the break effect supporters synchronize with firefly. In simpler terms, what I'm trying to say is that firefly has more supports that are tailored to her needs, while acheron has less. That is why I do not think it is good to compare them.

Ultimate damage vul has same calculation formula as damage formula, so saying 30% better is baseless calculation unless you show me where you did it. Yes, they would have diminishing returns if they were calculated TOGETHER, but they are separate multipliers. It isn't about what they do, but the ACTUAL Path itself. If you look at Acherons >E2 Kit, it requires you to use TWO Nihility Characters, however Acheron's E2+ kit only requires one. It is fundamentally challenging to build a character for Acheron for this reason. If you make her nihility, she would still perform the same because Harmonies are better and the risk on diminishing returns. On a F2P team she would still be obsolete because the whole reason Acheron is in trouble right now is the lack of stacks and the problem of needing to apply buffs. If we make a new Harmony, then the F2P's can't utilize it unless you run only one nihility in which you lose damage and lose stacks. The only playable option is to run sustainless, but seeing bosses like Hoolay, it seems impossible. I get what your saying but your argument itself is fundamentally problemed. The only Character you could even argue that for is FIREFRAUD, not super break. Now your argument still holds merit. Such as their being more break relics. and the fact that one of the relics literally is made for Firefly with needing fire weakness. Acheron also has relics, but they are quite universal. However firefly out of the picture, what about Rappa? She has shown consistently high clears and would only improve when Fugue comes out. Rappa is a character who isn't as boosted as Fraudfly, yet she manages to out perform both Acheron and Fireflop.

They released Fugue not as an improvement for the superbreak time but as a side grade (for firefly, she is insane for rappa and boothill) to hmc on e0 since hmc will be replaced by rmc.

I don't think it's very fair to compare them; Even before watching the video I know you're going to use Gallagher/ Lingsha, HMC, and Ruan Mei with Firefly, which are all best in slots for her. but Acheron doesn't have those kinds of best in slots - she has characters that go well with her, but she doesn't have characters whose kits are built with her in mind (Except for the blind fox, but that's just one unit out of three teammates needed)
That’s like saying Robin isn’t built fully for Feixiao. Because other than Topaz, really none of the other units is built for them. Firefly as well. Firefly doesn’t even utilize a good part of RuanMei’s kit. Your point is invalid if a “perfect team” needs their entire team to synergies perfectly with them.

@jade7631 I don't exactly understand what you're trying to say in first paragraph, so I am sorry for any misunderstandings: I do not think that Robin is built for Feixiao, but she is the best in slot for any FuA character. On your point about not using the kit, just like ruan Mei + firefly, E6 acheron does not use most of sparkle's kit. Because E6 causes skill and basic attacks to count as ultimate dmg. This renders most crit based supports useless, as crit does not help with ultimate dmg over a certain percentage. The reason jiaoqiu is good with her is because he increases ultimate damage, while aventurine and sparkle increase crit dmg- which is why they are not best in slots for her, because as said earlier, crit does not help much with ultimate dmg.
I feel like your point with the second paragraph answers the question you asked in your last paragraph, because fugue will make super break better. But almost none of acheron's team synergies with her because of the divide I keep mentioning between ultimate and crit.
For the third paragraph Acheron's supports would need to increase ultimate dmg, like jiaoqiu does- which is why he is a BIS for acheron in ten first place- while focusing less on crit.
Final paragraph: as I said earlier, Fugue would be the one making break teams better.

Even the Quantum attack bonus, which stacks with SW if you run her with Acheron. E6 uses EVERY PART. Even E0 does if you run sustainless. Sparkle buffs attack, crit, and damage multiplier, which all scale with EVERY part of Acheron's kit. Even the action advance. Crit doesn't help? If you are refering to diminishing returns, you are correct but Sparkle alone is not CLOSE to enough for you to receive diminishing returns. And even having ultimate damage res like Jiaoqiu, diminishing returns apply to ALL damage buffs. So having Sparkle and JQ is more beneficial than running JQ with another ult buffer. Just test it out in Sim Uni, damage boost with ultimate damage gets lower the more you stack on. "Crit does not help ultimate damage" It does. Also Aventurine has damage boost as well as provide 2 different debuffs at E0S1, and 3 at E2S1 (which if you have E6 you prob have E2S1 Aventurine), and above this I also said why Sparkle is best in slot.
They are not the same. My first paragraph refers to not every part of a character's kit needs to benefit one character fully. Not even the BiS FUA team and BiS Break team have this. My second paragraph is refering to Acheron already having a complete team under this premise.
Fugue won't synergize because it is recognized that Acheron has a BiS team already. Break doesn't. HMC is a F2P unit, it is only natural they make a 5 star to replace him. Acheron has JQ, Sparkle, and Aventurine.
Again, only Sparkles skill buffs crit, she AA's Acheron which is why she is so valuable. and no, Ultimate buff wouldn't help unless they make the multipliers the highest in the game, which is artificial improvement because she would just be overtaken again when others get artificially buffed. Second point about sparkle. Yes, I am talking about diminishing returns. And yes, with just sparkle and an E6 S5 acheron, sparkle does reach the limit- I have tested. If we want to bring the action advance and dmg buff into it, then sparkle is not as good as broyna.
2nd paragraph: thank you for clarifying, but I don't really think that argument works well in this scenario. Look at ruan mei's kit: skill- increases break efficiency by 50 percent, and gives a straight DMG buff (That is used by break effect) ultimate- extends weakness break. Passive- increases allies' speed. These are all things that break effect thrives on.
Again I'll have to apologize, I don't really understand what your third paragraph means, so I'm not able to make a defence against that argument.
Fourth paragraph: you're right about sparkle's kit, but not about the DMG buffs. The ultimate dmg buffs gives around 30% more DMG than sparkle's buffs.
For the thing you said about paths, I also don't understand the logic behind this. It doesn't really matter which path it is, as any path can give buffs or debuffs. Ex: fugue is nihility, but her skill gives a buff.
Last paragraph: that is not the argument I was trying to make. The argument I am trying to make is that it is not fair to compare a break effect character- that has supports that are made specifically for it's kind of damage, and will continue to have more later in the game (which I'm not denying will happen, I was making my argument with the current playable supports.)- to acheron, who is one of two characters that relies on ultimate damage (her and argenti) and does not have as many supports that synchronize with her kit as well as the break effect supporters synchronize with firefly.
In simpler terms, what I'm trying to say is that firefly has more supports that are tailored to her needs, while acheron has less. That is why I do not think it is good to compare them.

Damage% does not work for Superbreak, essentially making the biggest part of RM's kit obsolete. While JQ EVERY part of the kit is used for Acheron.

I will need to see your testing, because the math doesn't work out. Ultimate damage vul has same calculation formula as damage formula, so saying 30% better is baseless calculation unless you show me where you did it. Yes, they would have diminishing returns if they were calculated TOGETHER, but they are separate multipliers.
It isn't about what they do, but the ACTUAL Path itself. If you look at Acherons >E2 Kit, it requires you to use TWO Nihility Characters, however Acheron's E2+ kit only requires one. It is fundamentally challenging to build a character for Acheron for this reason. If you make her nihility, she would still perform the same because Harmonies are better and the risk on diminishing returns. On a F2P team she would still be obsolete because the whole reason Acheron is in trouble right now is the lack of stacks and the problem of needing to apply buffs. If we make a new Harmony, then the F2P's can't utilize it unless you run only one nihility in which you lose damage and lose stacks. The only playable option is to run sustainless, but seeing bosses like Hoolay, it seems impossible.

However what your not understanding is at a base level she does have a complete team. In fact she has more usable characters than Break teams. I think what you mean is F2P units for Acheron teams are just worse. That is a valid argument. However if we consider Eidolons (which is fair as this is E6S5 Acheron), she does have a complete team. Being JQ (obviously), Sparkle (AA with atk/dmg/crit boost), and Aventurine (Debuff FUA, Ult, as well as E2 if you do it it, in which E1 also gives a crit boost). How is that less complete than any other team? I mean any other team just so happens that those characters work in the team, NOT because they were built for them. The only Character you could even argue that for is FIREFRAUD, not super break.
Now your argument still holds merit. Such as their being more break relics. and the fact that one of the relics literally is made for Firefly with needing fire weakness. Acheron also has relics, but they are quite universal.
However firefly out of the picture, what about Rappa? She has shown consistently high clears and would only improve when Fugue comes out. Rappa is a character who isn't as boosted as Fraudfly, yet she manages to out perform both Acheron and Fireflop.
