If I ask most of my friends and people out in this world they would know about GTA SA and would just know nothing or will not show much interest in discussing about GTA IV. Then when we hit our teen years GTA 5 came out, and i remember anticipating getting to play it in my early teen years. But playing GTA 4 as an adult fully changed my perspective on GTA games. It’s for sure the most under the radar GTA game, but my god is it a masterpiece. As adults, you understand and recognise complex emotions, and can really dive deep into GTA 4’s story. Emotions like sorrow, paranoia, fear, greed, depression, hope, are all present in the characters of GTA 4. As adults you also recognise the reasoning behind all the emotions said characters are showing. When you fully grasp the story of GTA 4, and you need to be quite wise to fully understand it, you realise how impactful the game is, and how similar it really is to our real world. I felt like I could relate to a lot of the characters in the game, and their certain traits. Every other GTA just felt like a game to me, but GTA 4 felt like a game, a story, a movie, a mirror and shadow of what life can hold as you exit childhood and enter adulthood. It’s not all sunshine and rainbows anymore.
