John50 Beach He knew they got a delay of game warning, he knew having his jersey untucked was another delay of game, he knew a second one would be a technical foul and the ft gave them the edge which resulted in the win. That’s basketball IQ.

I remember when I was a volleyball official, one of my supervisors specifically told me not to enforce rules like this. But that was recreational volleyball. This is the NBA. When someone's breaking a rule, you enforce the rule, especially when someone on the other team is pointing it out.

The only issue is: why did the refs have to have that brought to their attention? Jerseys become untucked during the game, but they can be tucked back in during a stoppage. CP3 would later do it again that season when a player checked in with an untucked jersey.

All players must tuck their jersey before entering the court. Not following it = delay of the game cs they must tuck it first
Players must have jerseys tucked in when checking in. If the jersey becomes untucked during play, it must be re-tucked at the next stoppage.
