Exactly the mount I have! It works well and is thin enough that Hollywood mode still works. I've been using it for several months now and it has not affected the Ocean's main screen functionality or rotation - everything still works! Thanks for the video!
Thanks for the feedback. The thinness is the key. Good to hear it is working well.
I do like how thin that is! Good job Matt!
Thanks, I really like it too. Can't beat it for less than $9.
I use this same mount and i love it! Thx matt
Thanks for this! Perfect!!!
It's a great mount but I have to install it at a different rotation for my Samsung Galaxy 22+ 5G. I installed mine to rotate up or down, but it drops back behind the screen on its own, and my phone is too heavy so the arm doesn't stay up and causes a lot of hassle by falling down or knocking the phone off. I'm better off mounting it so it cannot rotate any further downward than straight out perpendicular (see 4:59), then it works great and the arm is strong enough. It stays on even in Hollywood mode without hitting anything. Another thing to note is that the back of the screen is a curved surface so it feels sketchy mounting it, but the adhesive works great and feels very strong.
@@JiisTube All three of my phones work well. The heaviest is the iPhone 16 pro max and if I installed it slightly closer to the screen it wouldn’t bend from the weight.
Wonder if the heat from screen and the sun will effect the adhesion of the mont and is that magnetic ring strong enough over bumps etc.. let us know....
I'll be updating if there are any issues. The magnet is very strong.
Zero issues with it falling off the magnet. I have an iPhone 13 Pro and only drive in Hyper mode! Lol
One of these, plus an integrated Qi charging would be great
Yes, there are versions that do that. Right now, I just use a USB cable.
I bought a Joyye 360 phone holder that is usb charged auto suction been using it on my infotainment screen suction on to that on lower right corner so if I do Hollywood mode it's not in the way of shifter doesn't hurt screen easy to remove at a touch of a button, when suction feels a little loose it auto tightens so stays on I have z flip 6 Samsung works great on it.
Doesn't that block viewing of the LCD screen?
Thanks for another helpful video. Does the phone block the air vents? Also, I’m curious if you ended up using this for CarPlay or did you go with one of the add-ons from your previous videos. And if so, which one?
I suppose it may deflect a small section of the vent next to the screen. But I never have the fan on high enough to feel it directly anyway. I'll have to look again and let you know. As far as CarPlay goes, I have two different screen I purchased. I like the Atoto one (2nd video), but I wanted to use something dedicated to MP3/FLAC music. The music player in the device is not good at all. I also heard some people don't like the separate devices and just want to use their phones.
The air does deflect downwards when I tested the vent at fan speed 4.
I need help. I have this holder and it has stopped holding the phone. Phone falls off. How can I remove the mount safely to replace or repair
Has the magnet detached somehow? If you want to remove it, just extended the mount and slowly peel off from the back of the center screen.
Question. After installation, does the phone remain stable as you push on the phone screen for apps etc.? Is the magnet strong enough ?
The magnet is very strong, no issues with pressing on the phone's screen. The only weak point is due to how I have the mount orientated, the hinge may slide down a bit if the phone is heavy. When installing, place it so the phone is barely touching the side of the screen. Then it will be more secure.
Yeah, this was my experience as well.
The alternative might be to mount it so that the hinge swings up. However, you would have to mount it further down and probably would not lineup flat along the top either.
@@philcarscallen6556 Yes, but I value hiding it too!
Where can i find this holder? Can’t seem to find it. Thanks
Found it!
