This channel is all about snipers, sniping and FPS shooters! I mainly do Battlefield 2042 Sniping but I also play Call of Duty, Battlefront and I love Battle Royale. I often play solos, duos and squads on my livestream. I have 1000 hours experience in every Battlefield and I hope to play more FPS games in 2021. I hope you enjoy my 2042 sniper gameplay as much as I do making it.

@@lt.lettuce2023 I can think about a few reasons:
      - BF1 is just older and some people really do have prejudice towards older games dispite how good those older games may be.
      - A lot of players prefer fps games with a more "modern" thematic. Both have "old themes" but in the players minds WW2 > WW1, probably.
      - People now have the understanding that dispite the fact that BF5's release and first months (or year) had been shite near the end of it's life cicle the game got some good updates.

BFV is so good! The vehicle combat with the attrition system was a great balance, the building mechanics to help reinforce or rebuild destroyed areas, and the visuals of every environment are filled with details in every corner. It had a rough lunch and suffered from a similar "what direction do we go" that 2042 has now BUT when Pacific launched, the game was truly at its peak. There is an argument TTK 2.0 wasn't a bad idea, it just wasn't the time or game to do it. Maybe a community test environment trial and have it be something they developed for future titles, but it was the last rug pulled out from a lot of players, after a long year of bugs (challenges no tracking, invisible players, god-tier weapons, weird random jank) that pushed people out.

I hate the attrition system. It is just anti-fun for all for me. As one of the best tankers on the NA servers, the vehicle balance is just awful. I can simply cheese the game with vehicle upgrades: the HEAT rounds at the final tiers of heavy tank can outright one hit medium and light tanks on top of having their own additional ammunition pool. Hull machineguns have infinite ammunition on top of zero recoil or spread, a single friend can turn your tank into an unstoppable killing machine that never needs to rearm. Against highly optimized tank builds by skilled players stock or alternate tank builds never stand a chance. They have to rearm more often, hit half as hard on top of often being less durable. The AA tanks are just weird, with some factions being way more effective. The armored cars and AA tanks are basically a detriment to the team when picked because they can’t hold their own against enemy tanks, that’s just bad game design. At least in BF1 the light tank and AA trucks aren’t completely helpless against enemy armor, unlike greyhounds which can get one hit by medium tanks and AA tanks which they nerfed to no longer deal chip damage to enemy tanks.
I don’t fly but people really complained about planes. Planes can resupply much faster than ground vehicles, leading bombers to just dominate matches with a rain of bombs that can outright flatten some objectives. Fjell mountaintops are the worst when the enemy runs multiple bombers on cramped mountain passes and shitty AA gun emplacements.

I personally think that the Iwo Jima breakthrough experience is one of the best experiences in any battlefield game. It can get very tense and fighting over the last sector is great chaos. The beach landings are great and every sector feels balanced except maybe the caves lol. Yes a good Japanese pilot can really imbalance the lobby on occasion but there are plenty of counters in place such as the AA and fliegerfaust.
I think the movement and gunplay is top notch in its current state and I think the vehicles are fairly balanced. Tanks and planes are powerful but they can be easily taken out if you put in a bit of effort. I wish they stayed a little more true to their vision with the attrition system because now you spawn with 200 bullets, and I kind of enjoyed that part of game when you only had a few bullets left or were on low hp and you felt like you had to make a final stand. Also rewarded team play and working with other players to take an objective. I also loved the idea of fortifications and I wish they explored this further then just doing sandbags mostly. The only big ick for me were the elite soldiers skins, especially when you see German soldiers in the pacific theater. Amazing game and I still play it today

I grinded the hell out of BF5. Even through their bad TTK-decisions and the lack of anticheat. What kept bringing me back was the gunplay, movement and such. When you got in a squad that worked together and communicated or played with friends as a squad (and got a little sweaty with it) you could get some AMAZING BF-moments. One that I still remember is me and a buddy defending A-point on Arras breakthrough against half the enemy team with just us two and two other guys holding another position. Or (also on Arras) joining a game on the second to last sector with the defending team getting annihilated and just squeezing out a win as our squad spawned in and proceeded to cut through the attackers and steal a tank. Those are the moments you play BF for.

Generally, I think the 20th century is the right place for Battlefield, and that going to the future means the developers have too much scope to do stuff. Battlefield One forced the developers meanwhile to make a constrained WWI experience as interesting as possible. Therefore, I think it’d be interesting to focus on the Interwar crisis period. You can justify including WWI and some WWII weapons, and you can go to interesting new environments. Poland, Hungary, Finland, Ireland, China and Iraq could be interesting places to hold battles and provide a lot of variety

I was really excited about BF V as I was craving a next-gen successor to BF 1942. When I found they were ending support prematurely after finally making the game good, I was very upset. I wishfully was hoping the next game would flop. I did not expect it to actually come true...lol

Really good analysis! BFV did have some good developments. It's a shame it didn't get the love it needed to thrive (firestrom f2p, more stable and consistent development, better showcase of gameplay/flow in its early days). Pacific was a banger of an update; if that level of care was kept up without the mad balances, imagine what could have been! It's a shame 2042 went down the same path but even further and worse. Great content Stod! 🤘🏻

Got into BF cause of 5, started in 2018. Fucking loved the game, the immersion and battles with friends I met along the way. I was never a fan of conquest so I enjoyed playing breakthrough; it felt like a genuine battlefield experience. All I was waiting for was the Eastern Front, and had my hopes up extremely high with the release of the Pacific and leaked files of plans for upcoming seasons. Unfortunately they ended support and turned to create an unplayable game. I sincerely hope that they think of going back to continue the live service to BFV as it could bring in extreme revenue and player-base back into the franchise. If not they will default. We will have to see though with the Summer update, although I will stand skeptical.

BFV is my favorite BF game followed by BF3. At the end the gunplay, movement mechanics, attrition, and fortifications felt really solid and I wished they just carried that over to 2042. Also I prefer NOT having auto health regen after BFV. Auto health regen feels cheap, casual, and too easy after playing BFV.

Hello long term battlefield fan here. Battlefield 1 was may favorite battlefield and I was exited when I heard that the next battlefield would be ww2 because I thought dice would continue the authentic feel of battlefield 1 into a world war 2 setting. But then I was heavily let down by the trailers and the controversy surrounding the game around that period.
Soon I moved passed the initial controversy and started to like the game because it actually had genuine improvements over battlefield 1 like graphics, movement and gunplay. After the Pacific update I actually had hopes that with a few more major updates the game could redeem itself and become a great game after all. But then in summer 2020 the developers basically gave up on the game and wasted all it's potential, leaving me utterly disappointed once again. I still to this day think dice should at least have given battlefield 5 one more major update before moving on to 2042.
The best thing that dice could have done was to make battlefield 5 a traditional, AUTHENTIC WW2 game that focus on the best known battles of world war 2 and not the nich ones. The pacific front should have been a part of the BASE GAME on release, even if that meant the game got pushed back into releasing in 2019 instead of 2018, and the first major update should have been the soviets and eastern front, the second D-DAY and so on. This game had so much potential if it was just made as a generic, traditional world war 2 shooter as a follow up to battlefield 1 but dice really just had to mess it up. I really hope someone can relate to my feelings.

i can't really compare them. bf2042 may be out a little while, yet nothing has happened aside from some minor balance/performance updates. so its future is pretty much unknown. what bf5 did really outstanding was being able to shot thrown grenades/throwing them back (although i do not like that the timer gets magicly reset). every core mechanic in bf2042 feels like a downgrade: movement like bf3 with supersprint from cod warzone. shooting like no other bf before it (haven't played hardline so i don't know if its comparable). visuals like bf bc2 (without the destruction), soapy tires on all tired vehicles. i want to say i like the wingsuit but i think it's just a cope since it would be impossible to play the game without it. so that narrows down my operator choice to 1 and done. honestly i think i could do without bf2042. i do not see where they could take it (with reasonable effort) that i would like it. i have played on partially empty servers before but this one really knows how to make you feel alone and meaningless to the result of the battle.

Stodeh - Bravo bro, absolutely top notch, epic quality video, from top to bottom... beginning to end. Give us more of this, please!
Gotta love BF5! I would argue that it has amongst the very best large scale team play ever offered in a FPS. If you're willing to adapt, you can literally will your team to victory by filling vital team roles other than kill-kill-kill-die-repeat. Repairing vehicles, transporting troops, laying down smoke screens, running medic, resupplyling snipers, and so on. The variety of ways to play is freakin' awesome!
Such a shame about BF2042, the formula for a GREAT game is literally at their fingertips. To get it so wrong almost feels intentional. How in the world did they miss the mark so badly?!

  • @Sonikks

Good video. You should have expanded on the TTK changes, particularly the 2nd one in Christmas 2019. That was what made many, many players turn away from BF5 for good. DICE doubled down on the change claiming that it was to help newer players stay alive longer & not have them quit the game out of frustration. I believe they stood firm for a month or two if memory serves correct and even when they changed it back, it wasn't a complete revert.
A particularly sad period of public relations from DICE, mocking fans, telling us not to buy the game if we didn't like the direction of the game etc. There were good parts to this entry in the franchise like the mostly solid gunplay & smoother movement but way too many negatives. I stopped playing after the 2nd TTK change & even the Pacific didn't bring me back.

I truly believed that dice doesn’t know what their doing anymore. Theirs been so many deeply flawed design choices in the last few games. The last 5 games they’ve made feel heavily restricted on what you can do despite being sandbox style big battle shooters. BF1 and SWBF1 are better than their predecessors. Bf4 was their last great game and it’s slowly gotten worse since then.

One thing I never understood was how people complained about the TTK changes. The horrible visibility in the game, in addition to the super low initial ttk, made camping and sitting in hard to spot corners the most effective way to play the game. I recall so many instances of dying before even being able to identify where I was getting shot from. It was an awful compounding effect and once they made the TTK more like BF1's, that issue almost went away completely. While the changes did ruin some guns, I'd say made an overall net positive since it allowed for more playstyles to be effective and you could actually outplay people sitting in corners. Super low ttks work in games like CS, Valorant, and Siege since the whole game is designed around being tactical and having careful positioning. In a game like Battlefield, that can be super chaotic and unpredictable, I think a medium ttk suits the game best to account for that randomness, while also not making the game rely too much on teamwork such as higher ttk games like Overwatch, Apex, and Halo.

I paid £13 for a game full of content, very few game breaking bugs and visuals and sound that absolutely blew me away as someone who had been playing COD since forever. Experiencing the final update with 2 infantry focused maps was just the cherry on top. Funny but It was because of my experience as late comer on BFV that I had such high expectations for 2042. The back proning alone ruined player recognision so much. Players got a completely different shape than you expect, they could hide their heads in corners while bipoding MMGs on their legs which absorbed bullets at lower damage, all while being completely camoflaged by overexaggerated shadows and pixelated textures that blended together at 10m or more. Fuck that. In BF1 you could see someone running in the open hundreds of meters away. BFV rarely even had that kind of engagement ranges without thick vegetations or the horrible mirrage effect on the desert maps. They also liked putting grass that hid prone players on every map along with pitch black shadows on every little rock on the ground.

2042's weirdest decision is there's no player only areas where you're relatively safe from vehicles.
can you imagine a map with ultra dense city high-rises with a few accessible floors and rooftops either side like that flooded map from 4 but bigger and better(I forgot the name forgive me) and then on the edges a massive highway with loads of trashed cars to hide behind but enough space for tanks to fight it out.

I really enjoy it the game, the maps are far superior to 2042, the guns are fun, and love the melee variety :) The squad-play is great, you literally get rewards for working together. The only thing that has completely ruined my BF5 experience are the hackers. They don't even hide it. Why would they, there's nothing to stop them. My personal "favourite" was a speed hack that allowed him to move on foot at around 10x speed, and wiped our teams foot soldiers with a katana. His name was something like SpeedBunny.

For me, sniping in battlefield peaked in BF1. The sweet spot mechanic rewarded good positioning, for other ranges they still did good damage and the handling felt realistic and smooth.
BF5s snipers were dissapointing. They still felt good to use, but without the sweet spot I struggled to give enemies anything more than hitmarkers before they got into cover, and more often than not I was outclassed by assault rifles on all ranges where I could reliably hit them.

I don't really remember the first TTK change all too much, but I do remember not caring about the changes it introduced as it made the TTK more similar to BF1 (Which happens to be my favorite BF). I do remember the second TTK change though, the one that made the FG 42 useless. That change pissed me off because I am a support main and it felt as though that class was hit the hardest, also the FG 42 was my go to gun so salt in the wound right there. When defensive play is taking on as the meta I think they should offer different XP values based on the weapon being used and if the player is moving. If someone is laying around sniping maybe they could get half the XP per kill and the players using faster paced weapons and moving would get an XP increase per kill. That would encourage people to play at a faster pace....cause we all love our XP.

I despised the lack of cover in BF5. It seemed like every map was sprawling and all of the capture points overlooked each other with no cover in between. So half the match was just trying to push through "no man's land" while the entire enemy team was just waiting for someone to run in to their sights. Hated that game, and I was a loyal battlefield guy from Bad Company onward. It was definitely a good game before its development got cut off and after the devs got a lot of things right, and as someone who never stopped playing since launch and staunchly defended it throughout its life cycle, only to be betrayed by EA two years ago. I think Bfv is really fun, the gunplay is good, the vehicles are good as well even if there could’ve been a few more, and like he said it really does emphasize squad play. Hell, the whole fortifications system is a really good concept for battlefield games, because if you actually utilize it you’ll have an advantage and they aren’t completely useless either, this game had so so much potential for other theaters of ww2, it’s just that because of how much it was hated, EA and DICE dropped it and gave us 2042 after supposedly working on it for two years, it’s much better than that shitshow that’s for sure. And I’m happy that people are returning to BfV, that it literally has more players now than 2042. Yes there was a very stark contrast in terms of historical accuracy and dedication when compared to Bf1, and all of it is very iffy but there was a very good direction once DICE got their shit together, I think it was only dummed down by the terrible TTK and gameplay changes in the middle of its life cycle, but once they got it right, Bfv had a lot of potential.

BFV wasn't perfect but i had a blast. Had the best ballistics and weapon feel to date. Loved the maps and the lack of 3d spotting.
