Oblivion Wing should increase your defense given that it restores your health in the MSG, kinda like drain punch
Agreed and it was impactful in Sword and shield VGC Series 12. That move was really annoying
Might make the move a bit to strong. Maybe they will update it. Think it could do some things
Honestly with Legacy Moves for most pokemons, you would atleast expect some kind of Buff/Debuff given that they do perform similar to other moves or just make it special.
Drain Punch heals HP main game, PoGo = Gives Def + does no damage.
Oblivion Wing = does same thing but for Flying, PoGo = Dark Pulse Clone but +10 dmg, no buff/debuff.
If anything I would honestly say maybe make it the same damage as Dark Pulse with a Def Buff, or slightly weaker but not too little damage + defense buff, would actually make it more powerful as a pick in the long run.
@@NepNeppy Well not every move get it. Like bulldoze lowers speed by stage, but pogo it do nothing than poor dmg :D

@@speedyninja42 meh my yveltal grind been most horrible.. This second yveltal rotation for me and still 89% iv is best one.. Cant belive after so many raids i still dont have even 90% iv yveltal.. then compare xerneas i got bunch 98% just on few raids..

Such a shame it doesn’t have an added effect to try and mirror how it healed. A defense or attack buff might’ve been cool.
Oblivion wing would be so much better if it increased the defense. I don’t know why they didn’t do that in the first place, because in the main series games, it restores HP and they made drain punch increase defense

I thought Oblivious Wing heal a Pokemon health. It's interesting that a charge TM is new meta for Ultra and Master League.

Tried to get a hundo yveltal this event .but didn’t ,still got so much rayquaza xls to lvl 50 my 96
Pvpoke has the oblivion wing, focus blast combo as a higher win% wonder if it’s practical in open master
depends on what you’re using yveltal for- loses lugia and tina-o
Theoretically, very few mons resist fighting/flying. I can only think of the unreleased Aegislash, Zapdos and Emolga.

Anyone tried in UL? I have a 10/15/15 one. Sims look promising against giratina and cres but Idk if its a waste or rare candy
I have. It’s far too glassy and can’t keep up against the bulky level 50 meta of UL. Plus, ancient power giratina and moon blast cress still win against Yveltal

Oblivion wing actually does only 5 more damage than dark pulse which is kinda embarrassing for such a great move in the main game considering dark pulse is already pretty average
They really refused to give it a defense boost while saying “yeah this is fair” to hydro cannon💀
@@primordius777 to be fair HC was *already* nerfed. It's more Mud Shot/Water Shuriken being OP. On Feraligatr/Blastoise/etc it's fine.

Geomancy on Xerneas makes Zacian look like a joke.

Zacian still has more coverage, did 4 sets w giratina o in the lead, xerneas/zacian in the back, zacian usually end up sweeping bc it's so spammy n can hit flyers
@@emperorace6067 Nah. When I say zacian became a joke I didn’t mean it’s bad. Xerneas has the same typing same move coverage but Moon blast is better than Play-rough, Lightning is better than wild charge. Both has close combat. Having the same type Fast move give Xerneas better dps and there is a reason why Xerneas is ranked 5th and Zacian is below 30+.

Same typing, 90% same charge move. Why would anyone say Zacian is better.
Stats wise Zacian has Lead of 4points and huge lead in Def. But Xerneas’s lead in HP offsets the other 2 stats difference.
Also Xerneas & Zacian with Geomancy / snarl as fast move for the respective Pokémon’s requires the same amount of fast moves to charge up to close combat, Moonblast/Play rough and thunder/wild charge on both Pokémon’s.
Xerneas has the better move for both electric and fairy typing charge move and not to add(Atk. Debuff to opponent from moon blast and def. debuff on yourself from wild charge.)

Wild charge debuf you. Both does similar amount of damage and yes thunder required 1 extra fast move. How is thunder nowhere near as good as Wild charge? The best I could say for WC is that it’s as effective as Thunder on a good day and that is generously speaking. When you compare thunder from other Pokémon maybe it’s bad but not on Xerneas.
