- With apologies to Jeff Foxworthy, here are a number of ways that you might get kicked out of a theme park if you're doing...
A behind the scenes look at what a former worker at Disney World, Silver Dollar City, and Busch Gardens Florida experienced in his time working at the parks. From driving large safari trucks around live wild animals while cracking one silly joke after another, to spending 5 years as a #PhotoPass photographer at #WaltDisneyWorld and seeing and experiencing all sorts of things, to being a conductor and #trainrobber on the famous Frisco Silver Dollar Line at #SilverDollarCity. With 10 years of working in the parks, there's lots of stories to tell. Here is some of them...
Not only did I work in theme parks for 10 years, I've visited a whole lot of them as well. Here's some stories of great visits, not so great visits, favorites, reviews, and much more.

Special thanks to Anna Simpson for the Park Tales intro and Daniel Higgins (Goofy809) for the outro. Copyright and TM issues have been cleared through Joanne Choi of Disney legal and fall under parody/ satire provisions of law.
I had a beloved friend who passed a few years ago. She was very wise and one of her sayings was "use your head for more than a hat rack." It seems that piece of wisdom applies to all of these
LOL. I think I'll steal that statement!
At my local park we had a wannabe tik toker trying to do interviews and challenges on rides. He filmed them without park permission with his buddy filming from in front and he would attach a mic to something stupid like a bagel, a baby doll or a LITERAL HAMMER. He got busted at Six Flags AND Cedar Fair and banned from both. He then griped to Instagram and a bunch of people called him out for being an idiot. I particularly pointed out "there's this thing called LIABILITY INSURANCE mate, if that phone hit and injured someone, you'd pay for their hospital bill right? Nope, not a chance, you'd bolt the second you could."
No one wants to see you're on a shaky coaster. I've seen people film on a coaster AT NIGHT. When it's dark. And there's no lights. You know what the camera saw? Literally nothing.
Those first bloopers would make a good T-Shirt.
There's two that I'm kind of surprised you overlooked: reselling merchandise for a profit if you use your annual pass discount, and soliciting your own business within the park (I'm looking at you, Chris Martin/Sparkling Dreamers).
Rules are for everyone except me, right?? 😂😂
And for those in Congress.
Amazing... as some one that works at Universal Orlando, you nailed this right on the head!
Having to get just the right image, so you stand in just the wrong spot. Happens more at events and musea than theme parks, such as the amount of people who almost get stomped flat standing in a right-of-way trying to get the best picture of a steam train passing by, or that guy who was standing in the empty spot at Ausarmourfest that we'd all been told to clear which was about to become a parking spot for a Panzer IV...
Then there was the guy who threw a tantrum about how he "should" be able to take photos in the gallery of a museum which has a copyright on all its displays which contain artefacts which could easily be damaged by the flashes, given as how they'd recently been picked out of the sea after 200+ years...
Going along with the fence/safety one, I don't know how many times when doing excursions at the current Class 3 railroad I work, that I've had to tell passengers on the platform when we do the run around to stand back from the yellow line on the platform and to stop trying to cross the tracks when our train is literally coming down on top you, getting back into the depot!
Another thing that could kick you out of a park is touching props I thought of this because I remember on my last trip to Disney world we did the festival of the lion king at animal kingdom and after that when guests were exiting the attraction some of them purposely tried to touch the elephants nose. I heard a cast member yell at them to not touch the elephant, so a smart rule of thumb for parks is to never touch any props or parade floats at all
Wouldn't think "if it shoots or stabs don't bring it keep it home" would ever have to be said about visiting a theme park yet then again I'm sure the cases are countless by now smh thanks for the great video and laughs
I saw a teenage girl with a Let's Go Brandon phone case at my local park. Then later I saw he again with her family, mom with some conspiracy shirt, dad a maga hat, and brother didn't have anything political, but his overalls were torn at the bottom that you could see a half moon... Somehow they made it through the day.
they couldn't get tickets to Mar-a-Lago land that day? :)
A phone case can be placed in pocket, or concealed in hand. Even Biden ads should be banned.
Clever joke segment idea I really dug this love those blue collar comedy tours. It was funny when u kept saying they are always watching everywhere so don't do it. That's so true at anytime u feel your not being watched just remember someone somewhere on some camera sure is watching you
hahahaha Loved these, and I never get tired of them! Plz keep them coming! Im sure there's more than enough Guests behaving poorly that we can make three MORE lists from! Simply put, don't be a goober when you come to a theme park!
If you think it's harmful, embarrassing, tacky, or going to be a problem,..don't do it! This is a public place, it's not the aisles in Piggly Wiggly or Wal Mart.
There's always gonna be those who think they can get away with stuff or 'look cool' (looking at you tiktokers).
People seem to forget where they are and how to act, and truth be told, since the pandemic, it's gotten worse- we're all suddenly forgotten manners, respect for one another, and decorum in public.
But hey, keep it up, we need content for the next installment on this channel! lol
So many people to Force Choke, so little time...
Jk, of course, I'm not a Sith, just your average Fabulous Jedi.
The way you used “Cheeky people” 😂
I was so lucky that’s something I never personally had to deal with at SFSTL(guests hopping the fence). Pokémon Go was just getting big that summer, and there were a ton of Pokémon in employee only areas! After the last guests left the park and my team and I were still closing, we’d catch Pokémon in back culinary areas, under Screamin Eagle, and more😂😂😂
Hello this reminds me of working in Disney again thank you. The first one would aggravate me so much when working there because we clearly tell them to keep their party together. Once inside the laugh floor pre show area if you exit once the door closes to the pre show you can’t get back in again it’s a safety hazard and a distraction to the show. Another thing I remember is when you mentioned inappropriate clothing one day when working in Disney at the laugh floor greeter position security brought it to our attention they were looking for someone to kick out. This lady was wearing a not so family friendly shirt and guests complained about her because she made their kids feel uncomfortable when watching the parade and she was not wearing any pants really either her shorts were very short. We didn’t have a description of how she looked we only knew what she was wearing and hopefully they caught her but I don’t know if they did or not. You forgot to mention the no running in theme parks rule I don’t know if that gets you kicked out but I saw a lot of it when working in Disney and it was not pretty at times.
There is an exception to rule about entering cast member area in Disneyland during Fireworks
Great Video. 😃👍♥️
Just simple. "Don't do it". Good advice.
Great video hope your well brother
One I was a part of when I worked at Six Flags Great Adventure. If you attempt to a wear a mask that hides your face especially during Halloween
Hey Willow, I heard that a tornado almost touched down at Epcot the other day. Why didn't Disney shut it off like they do the rain???
That gets me every time 😂
the EPCOT weather dominator is run by the same software that runs the water in the Moana Journey of water attraction.... and it's been down for some time :)
This may fall into the "Don't be a jerk" kind of rule but I'm surprised you didn't talk about alcohol and people getting drunk.
Before the show begins, this is a revisit of "9 Ways To Get Kicked Out". Among those 9 ways (in no particular order)
1. Possession of a weapon (yes, that includes pepper spray, we've seen it used in aggression)
2. line jumping
3. illegitimate tickets
4. impersonating cast/characters/employees
5. tampering with safety restraints
6. selfie sticks
7. fistfights and other physical violence (at some parks this even includes parents who spank misbehaving children)
8. screaming and swearing at people (including members of your own party)
9. drug/alcohol abuse
Did I miss anything? I'm sure restricted areas are in the miz somewhere, did I add anything that wasn't on the original list?
Somewhat of a revisit but also several different things on this list. And that is a pretty old video that many have likely never seen that was due for an update. 😀
I'd say now jumping in fountains, bodies of water, attempting to leave ride vehicles and exit attractions on your own- these seem pretty common now at Disney
13:29 lol
I can relate about getting kicked out of an attraction, one time I went to a haunted house, and in one room, one of the actor's played dead, I didn't know this was wrong nor they said this as a rule, but as a way how I tried to "preserve the magic" was that I went to her and asked if she was ok and then I lightly tapped her on the finger with one of my fingers, she stopped her act, and told me to come with her, in the beginning I was thinking I triggered a special event, but then I realized I got kicked out which in my opinion was a bit of an overreaction. If I hit her, then yes that would be one thing, but maybe a small tap should of at least been warning material. But, I do understand my mistake and learned my lesson as well.
You might get kicked out of the theme park if...
You try to smuggle in booze.
Funny you should mention guests hitting and touching the characters in ways they should never do: the old character training videos from Disney Entertainment from the 70s state clearly that a child may try to grab a character's attention by giving them a "playful punch". I saw that and went "that will NEVER fly today". Like yeah t may come from a kid but still a kid should be taught to behave better, and that "playful punch" could seriously injure the performer. I just laugh how back then they were trained to just "expect the worst out of kids because kids be kids and you got to stay in character!".
10:14 "But ma first amendment rights!"
Yeah, those end once you enter PRIVATE property.
When I am at any theme park
I follow the rules
I used to be curious about what the backstage in the Disney park looks like but I have been backstage a few times now that I am no longer curious
Mainly on tours or when Castmembers open up the backstage to allow people to leave the park when the main route is backed up by guests
Just based on the picture in the video I am suprised you didn't say, "You might be getting kicked out of the theme park if all of a sudden you see a large number of uniformed security or people with earpieces talking into their sleeves or collars around you, paying close attention to you."
I forgot to ask this in the comment I made but could you please make a video about gifts you got from guests when working in Disney?
I've done a few. :-)
the oldest one: ruclips.net/video/tW6xYEU2QiM/видео.html
collab with Jennifer Oakes where we talk about it ruclips.net/video/_B0MOVDTPMg/видео.html
A more recent one from just me ruclips.net/video/IXBXBdiA9eY/видео.html
And one more about gifts for characters ruclips.net/video/dnnkSnql_fw/видео.html
That’s awesome I will go check them out now.
also if you snuk in and don't have a ticket
I did see, and I think I mentioned this; but I saw two people at Disney world last year with a selfie stick 🤦🏻♀️😱 I was so shocked, and I should have reported it. 🤦🏻♀️ So, next time if I see it I will report them to a cast member.
You should be kicked out if you leave the carousel of progress in a non emergency way it stops the ride and you have to watch the same act again I love the carousel of progress but I like it without interference with the show
When you say 'not appropriate for little kids to see' what does that mean?
8:43 Out of curiousity, could you dress-up as a non-Disney character at the park?
Like, would they send you away if you're wearing Doctor Who cosplay?
Sorry if this is a dumb question. I've just finished work and am so tired 😂
You cannot wear any costume or you can be mistaken for any character. Period. :-)
@@SirWillow Yeah. Fair enough. Guess cosplay is just for comic cons. 😅
Are there any theme parks where the punishment is being forced to stay?
I carry a pocket knife. All the time. It has a 3" blade. We were walking into MGM and I realized I had it. As we walked in I grabbed a security guy and told him I had it. When my wife heard me tell him she said "You big DUMMY!" The security guy, very kindly, told me to walk to the free lockers and leave it there and I would be good to go. I was very thankful and I left it in the resort the rest of our vacation. As far as backstage, we got stuck on a hill on Big Thunder. They closed the ride and man, trying to get out of the car on an incline was dangerous. They led us out through the mountain and it was full of cobwebs. I guess they were growing them for the Haunted Mansion
Filming on a slow ride?
oh man are you pro cop =( I'd be so disappointed.
Politics free zone on the channel. But when you're in trouble, who are you calling? The gang banger or the police?
No reason to answer. There are other places to talk about stuff like that.
@@SirWillow what a disappointment to humanity you are. Unsubbed. "No politics but I'm gonna call people 'gangbangers'" is sad.
I guess you've never lived in a place filled with gangs. I have. My nose was broken by a crip and is all plastic inside now. Dealt with swat teams raiding the apartment over us because actual real gang bangers had taken it over and turned it into a drug lab.
I know what a gang banger is- Not everyone who gets in trouble with the law is a gang banger. Just like not every cop is corrupt.
But because I didn't turn this into a political discourse and statement that agreed with you and slammed people that are putting their lives on the line every day, you unsubbed? Good riddance.
Why am i not surprised that a group of people would hang a political banner up in WDW then complain about their rights when theyre escorted out?
Stay out of bodies of water and fountains.
and don't drop uncle Milton's ashes in the Haunted Mansion- they WILL find you!! :)
Honestly one rule I’m suprised isn’t a thing is no strollers or baby walkers in the park now I know it’s for baby’s and stuff but dang it you think selfie sticks hurt try imagining a 40 year old soccer mom pushing her kids in the infernal thing and hitting everyone in the ankles like I’m suprised it’s not a rule or maybe it is and I didn’t know
Like a designated stroller scooter lane or something
Much like being a pet owner and stepping ion things like pet toys and treats, it comes with the territory. Im chalking this one up to just plain not paying attention to what the heck they're doing while they navigate the kids down the street . Disney did get smart and finally outlaw the oversize family wagon size strollers and carts after the parks reopened- making ppl use park approved strollers- maybe they'll do something about ankles next year :)
