These d40lf's are like a choir. The more that sing the more i want to ride or listen Of course transit where i am retired our d40lf's. The best ones i grew up have died.... Thanks for these videos!
From 09:48 upwards, that thrash it gets its seems like it's a DIWA.4 as its seems like it's a 4speed voith but that could just be me hearing that downtone note after 3rd
Here in Dayton, Ohio we used to have New Flyer Voith buses as well. They used to sound like a plane was taking off & made some of the best sounds! I'd love to have buses that loud again lol
As much as I’d love to help out with this comment I can’t give you any answers haha because I don’t know much about mechanical work! I’m just a basic guy who enjoys the body work and sound of buses 😝😄😄
The best action in this video is 9:40 to 13:05
That engine note and Voith gearbox whine are both music to my ears! 😍
Turbo diesel power coaches ❤❤
Nice 👍 sound of the transit bus. From Edmonton, Alberta Canada 🇨🇦

This is the best sounding bus ever.

I love that engine roaring down the streets of Mississauga. Now, I think all of those New Flyers are retired!
Gorgeous sounding bus. Reminds me of HK's M11/Voith buses.
Thanks for the awesome comment! Let me search up HK’s fleet with that spec, Bet that Voith sounds good huh?
ATR?
@@JonathanChan212 Late AD as well.
I always loved the whine of those Voith transmissions, they remind me so much of the ones used in the Flxible Metro, Gillig Phantom and Low Floor.😊
I wish I could explain Grumman buses 😍😍
Experience **
The D40LFs with voiths make me sad/nostalgic kinda, cause ours are gone.
Beautiful sounds
I agree, btw the winning comes from gears rotating inside gearbox
Voith make my heart pump the blood GOD DAMN
OMFL I LOVE THAT VOITH❤❤❤
That’s sick!!
Cummins ISL 280HP EPA2004 Voith DWAI D864.3 Transmision rebuilt
Driving one of these must be hella fun. I always wished we got these in Toronto instead of only Sauga.

You call that loud?
Here in Bulgaria
We keep old buses fresh to this day! Voith buses here are so loud no person couldn't stand it!!!!
Woah!
Here in Dayton, Ohio we used to have New Flyer Voith buses as well. They used to sound like a plane was taking off & made some of the best sounds! I'd love to have buses that loud again lol
Is this Voith loud like this because of straight cut gear teeth? Or is it the sound of worn out helical teeth maybe?

Im done ✔️ that bus needs to be saved
Was a great unit, Loved the Voith!!
sounds like a zf and a voith in one aha
This was a good unit and I’m really happy overall with the audio. Like how I recorded over the axles first and the deadhead was over the Voith!
Can you do the exterior announcement in MiWay Pls
If you watch my video on unit 0312 on route 25. I believe there is a exterior announcement.
Uk got the best voiths
I’ve heard them, Won’t lie they sound super good!!
9:40... xD
👍🏽
These are meritor axles.
What’s Meritor? I’ve never heard of that brand or manufacturer/model
@@on.the.go.transit Brampton Transit D40LFs have these.
Nah…they’re MANs. SEPTA’s 04/05 LFs have the exact same axle. Meritors are what WMATA’s older NFs had.
Nice info 👍🏽
As abus driver i despise voith
Ive quit jobs because of them
Interesting.
