Hi Guys, I was looking for this tune for a local radio DJ here and came across your posting. I play this tune on the guitar and it always goes down well. I remember it from the mid 1960's. You guy are great, keep having fun that what music is all about. Cheers, Bob
I just stumbled across this whilst listening to Northern Soul ( it's a long story don't ask lol) Ive been having a dreadful couple of days and these blokes and this tune have cheered me up no end. Big love from Oxford England.
Hello Musicians, it´s a great sounds video-"Mir san mit dem Radl do" ist the name from this song in Germany. Bravo 5*****++!Very good arrangement and performance-it´s funny! Best Regards on the musicians and to Australia, Wolfgang/Germany
please supply information about recording artist of the 45rpm record. Was popular on radio in the 60s. It had the feel of a marching tune. A call like Haih! at a key change. Web link please, cant find lapland flute tune on internet.
A marching style 45 single of "Lapland" was released on the Jubilee record label in late 1967. Credited to The Baltimore & Ohio Marching Band - actually a group of studio musicians - the record peaked at #28 Adult Contemporary and #94 Hot 100 on the charts. The melody, derived from the hymn "Just Over In the Glory Land, was composed in 1906 by Emmett S. Dean. The Jubilee single can be found at: ruclips.net/video/V9-Q_48WiVw/видео.html

This music reminds me of the 1955 Plymouth I once had. I loved that car and I love this music.
"Lapland" is virtually the same as our Country Gospel Song
"Just Over In The Glory Land". Great music - love it!
