The most frustrating thing about rhe PCD was how great Nicole and Melody sound together and if they just used them both and even tried to use the other girl's vocals, it could have been so much better, all the harmonies and call and response riffs that could have been between Nicole and Melody. It hurts me tbh.

@@artist2042 Painted Windows showed how amazing Nicole and Melody could sound together if they sang equal parts instead of just throwing Melody in at the end to do riffs. Even React, Nicole is still the only one singing 99% of the song and hearing the other girls singles, there is absolutely no reason they couldn't have parts of the verses at least or separate harmonies instead of Nicole singing everything and the other 4 mirroring the same word slightly higher all at the same note. It's never gonna make sense to me.
The thing is, outside of the singles and Nicole’s rejected solo work there’s a lot more sharing of parts (Carmit on the first album and then Jessica got some background vocal parts for the second album).

The girls all got side tracks but they couldn't be bothered to give them even small parts in any of the singles.
