Ralph...he was my Archbishop and they don't come any better! Praise God for this magnificent servant of Jesus. What an honor to have had him as a shepherd. He was also my Archbishop, Philadelphia. He confirmed my husband at the Cathedral in Philly. You would have thought that my husband was the only one there to receive. That's how much personal attention that he gave to each person!
Dr Martin, thank you for an excellent podcast. I know Abp Chaput and have read all his books (save one), and I can say that he is likely one of the best men, if not THE best that I've ever had the pleasure to meet and get to know- if just on a couple of occasions. He is truly a treasure for modern Catholics. When Abp Chaput speaks out, we need to be attentive.

I came back into the Church joyfully after having left and lived my way and contrary to Church teaching. I loved and relied on the Church for staying true to the truth and discovered real joy in it. What Pope Francis and all the bishops he is favoring and promoting makes it obvious that he’s not a lover of truth or the Catholic Church. He’s in it to change it to conform to the passions of this modern world to the detriment of souls. He exiles the bishops and priests that are courageously going against the whims and passions of this “wicked generation.” Thank you, Dr. Martin, for trying to do what the Pope is supposed to be doing.

I am glad to hear moral clarity from Archbishop Chaput. I can testify to the sacredness of marriage, having had a profound conversion experience 16 years ago during a pilgrimage, in which God intervened through our Blessed Mother to save my marriage. Pray for the conversion of hearts.

While reading and listening to commentaries on Fiducia Supplicans, I was reminded of the fact that Pope Francis regularly talks about accompanying people. While in essence I agree with that statement, one thing that I learned, from 30 years as a counsellor of addicted people, was that there is a very fine line between accompaniment and enablement. I can't help believing that there are a number of times that the Pope and Cardinal Fernandez have crossed that linre. This document seems to be one of those times.

The Pope apparently can do anything he wants, so I guess we will have to wait for a new Pope to reverse many things Francis has done. the blessing document appears to be a big nothing in terms of actually doing anything; a priest of the Mission here says that no-one has asked for a blessing; I know how LGBT are, since I was a gay activist and left the lifestyle 8 years ago; what a sorry and confusing way to reach the LGBT! the first thing I would ask the two persons in a couple: what is your intention? are you seeking God, and attracted to Christ because it is obvious that this is the issue, and what the Church is; the Church is not an event opportunity or a slap on your back that you're OK; the society misgiving you plenty of that
