- I was asked to do this one since I’m always doing Mariah covers lol. I have pushed this one off for years because I don’t like trying to sing it, it’s hard, requires an insane amount of breath control that I don’t have, and it’s just not a good experience attempting it lol. I also don’t personally like the song much, please don’t hate me. BUT, I attempted it, and here it is. Released on Mariah’s Daydream Album in 1995, it’s called Forever. You’re welcome to critique me, insult me, block me, whatever lol, I hope it’s at least somewhat enjoyable :)

I'm a hard-core Mariah Carey fan, but I would not attempt to sing any of her songs, this guy is a lot better than me! No other female singer has a voice quite like Mariah Carey, and no female artist can write a better song than she can, that's why she has so many hits. She's the most talented diva of all time, hands down, and any smart person would agree with me.
Exceeded expectations and it takes balls to not just cover, but nail a Mariah Carey song

I got chills during the chorus with your singing. Not only are you a great live singer, but there's an authenticity to your voice in the articulation of you literally singing the line "forever". Very, very good. You betta sang.

Really nice deeper voice. I wouldn't try to sing it exactly like her. Even though you can do a lot of the vocal maneuvering, there tended to be intonation question marks during some of those parts. I'd love to hear you sing "And You Don't Remember" and see if you can nail some of those whistles 😉
@@elmaestro91 if You Don’t Remember? I can look into that one. I used to sing it but I’m not good enough at whistle to do it on command like that. I may try another arrangement

Are You a baritone or tenor? Love it so much how You did it!
I’m usually classified as a bass/baritone because of what’s considered my comfortable range. A true baritone would be singers like John Legend and Luther Vandross who can sing a few notes comfortably higher than me between A2-A4, and a tenor would be singers like Chris Brown or Wanya Morris who have a brighter tone in an even higher range. I’ve learned to manipulate my sound to give a somewhat brighter tone but in my lower range, so it often confuses people what I really am, but I’m mostly a bass because my comfortable range lies between E2-E4. It’s why I’m able to sing a lot of female songs an octave lower.
