I love Lexus because it's so easy to do things yourself. I had a Nissan where I was changing the cabin air filter and you had to practically take the dashboard apart just to get to it.
I was in the same boat. Had a Nissan Altima that I loved but due to how they redesigned the engine, it was having an oil leak and more than likely the piston rings would need replaced. Switched to Lexus and everything is so simple. Lexus/Toyota is the way to go.
You deserve the thumps up. Really great job. I'm a complete neophyte to anything to do with cars and your video helped me out tremendously. Thank you. Would mind you doing a video on basic car maintenance on Lexus RX350 and how to check and replace things? Again, great job and thank you.
Does the new generation use the same air filter ? I got 2019 es350 was wondering that anyone know? Note: the difference that im seeing from mine is only the color as mine has red instead of this yellow i guess
Just use the maintenance reminder feature that built in the system. If you set a mileage the reminder will pop up on the screen every time you turn the car on. That’s an efficient way to keep up with maintenance. I use the system for my alignment, oil change, filter replacement etc.
It took about 1 minute to change. Thanks so much. The dealership wanted $85 to change it.
Glad to help.
I thought 85$ included oil change
Dealerships are thieves
@@GoatThePetOfSatan no it does not.
You mean stealership?

Thank you. I needed help with the clips.
Glad I could help
Wow! So simple and to think I let the dealer do it last time.

Glad to help. I'll note that once I get a RX350. For the filters, it wouldn't different too much in removal and installation.
Yo this is so clutch you saved me 70$
Very nice video
Thanks
When you vacuum the debris, is it possible to damage anything?
It shouldn't if you are very carefully with the vacuum. Blower motor and wires are mostly in that area.
Does it matter which way you put the filter back in. What i mean is does the writing have to be facing you?
The letter on the front doesn't matter for the orientation.

I see 17801-F0050 as the part number for it. It's a different filter for hybrids. Superseded Part Number: 17801-25020
@@netman88 gotcha but in case if i couldn’t find this particular one am i still good with using previous generation ones air filter?
my 2013 es 350 has a square shape and all the videos I see have this triangular shape
Not sure why I missed this comment, I can't speak for a 2013 models. It's probably a different filter.
Write date and mileage on the filter
Good suggestion.
