What is the result in case of 2), considering I had purchased when Nifty was at 10775 and on 31st Jan in case 2) it is 10750. ? Also in case of 2), if I just hold it and do not square off on expiry day ..will it automatically be squared off and if yes, when? Your reply will be a big help in clearing this major doubt..

In both the cases, Nifty moved above 10700...I understand, I gain a profit in case of 1).
What is the result in case of 2), considering I had purchased when Nifty was at 10775 and on 31st Jan in case 2) it is 10750. ?
Also in case of 2), if I just hold it and do not square off on expiry day ..will it automatically be squared off and if yes, when?
