@@jon-erikbutcher3609 I work out of a cheap Matco cart all day, I only have to walk over to my box a couple times. Most people don't know how to store things efficiently. Their boxes also store useless or broken tools that they never touch, but they all say:"I'm out of space! Looks like it's time to trade in my just paid-off box for pennies on the dollar and spend years paying off a new 72" epiq."
I can’t agree more with this comment section. I run a service truck an I have tools stacked on top of tools stacked on top of tools. I’ve got so many pliers shoved into one drawer (watch my tour an you’ll see, since I’ve got more now) let alone the other tools I bought since I did my tour that it’s ridiculous lol then there’s a guy in my shop that just bought a triple bank epiq who has blow molded cases laid out open Instead of having more room that he needs. Blows my mind
Hello Greg, Paul James I started wrench in my earlier year's and I'm now 51. I bought my first Snap on toolbox when I was 17 in high school working at at tire shop, 3200 hundred dollars. Have all of them today and many more. And your wright the tool don't make the mechanic but sure helps knowing that when you're pulling on something or tightening your in good hands.
Great cart and tools. I think you still have plenty of room. You just need Power Tool holders in the bottom drawer and you'll be able to fit more. Gotta get some long box end ratcheting wrenches, and some impact sockets. If you do upgrade to 40" cart get one with the sliding tops as opposed to the the flip top that you have.
The light sensor also has a button that lights up the light remotely from like 30 feet. Snap on needs to make that a beeper function to find which car my light is in.
You need some impact sockets. You've got an impact but no sockets for it. Yes you can put chrome sockets on an impact, but could and should are two very different words.
It’s got to do with the material the sockets are made out of. Cr-v is very hard, meaning they last a long time under normal use and should not wear out. However the thing about hardened materials is that they will not take abuse from shock loads. Hitting hardened steel is like to crack and then break suddenly. When sockets shatter people get hurt. Cr-mo sockets are softer meaning they can take the shock impacts by being able to deform by a very small amount after long periods of time. Like I said, you can use chrome sockets on impacts, but you shouldn’t. When the sockets explode they sent fragments all over the place.
Bottom of tool cart. Like 10k worth of snap on power tools. Me I love snap on but I will keep my Milwaukee power tools lol but very nice tools I am jelly
One thing I highly recommend as having been a flight line mechanic for the last 25 years. Shadow that box. Nothing will ruin your day faster than leaving a tool behind. It will cause damage and could even injure or kill someone. I know, I have seen it happen. Take the time you will not regret it.
Missing tools-Safety wire pliers and safety wire. Magnet for dropped hardware. Long reach double flex needle nose pliers. Hose pinch off pliers. And I highly recommend the extended long reach number 2 Philips snap on offers. Works amazing with rusty or stuck screws.
Garage sales and craigslist get you some awesome deals. I have bought alot of broken sockets and extensions for pennies. If it still has the part number most of your dealers will warranty it and you get a brand new tool. I bought the same roll cart in flat black with red trim from a kid who quit for only $500. Snap on also has the rock n roll demo truck that swings by once a year, got my latest triple bank master series box for $2800... saved over $10k. I'm ballin' on a budget!
I have the same issue with all my 14.4 stuff. I stuck my chargers to the inside upper side of the drawer with 3m double sided tape and ran the cords out the back. Now they at fit except the big double charger.
as a mechanic every day i can say this tool box has better shit than my work box. i think greg has a hook up in columbia or mexico thats the real wrench works operation.
Greg talk to your dealer about swapping your top 4” drawer out for (2) 2” drawers. It’s perfect for keeping your wrenches on the top without wasting space.
Definitely need to get a 1/4" drive impact swivel, 3/8" and 1/2" drive impact swivel. You'll never touch another chrome swivel lol. And When I was working on a race team we had a pit box. Kind of kept all the misc stuff in there like chargers exc. we had a stainless shelf that was mounted on the trailer wall that would flip down. And you could setup a charging station there for headsets and impacts.
Tools you're missing- long picks. I find I use those as much or more than my shorties working on my trucks. I like my seal removers too, they come in hi vis like the picks lol. They're great for getting off o rings and they're less likely to do damage to the ring or the piece than picks. For organization, I'd get the snap on wrench rails. KRA15a and KRA22a, IIRC the 22 is for bigger wrenches. Hands down the best wrench organizers out there. I've had multiple people who own ZERO snap on tools tell me they love those wrench rails, and that they're "the only thing snap on makes worth the money" and I'm inclined to agree. You'll be able to really condense your wrenches and get some free space in the drawers or maybe even double it up. I grab my whole set and drag it with me a lot so I have a metric and standard set on a rail with a handle, and I double stack them in my deep drawer. Takes a little more space but it's handy when you're junkyarding or working on something away from the truck and don't know the size you'll need. Just grab both racks in one hand and go. Either way I'm sure you can cinch up some space in those wrench drawers. I'd also leave the 14.4v charger at home on a shelf. In the race trailer, the combo will work fine. Or get two combos. Also, mount them somewhere! You have a generator and I assume ac power in that trailer. Mount two combo chargers on the wall.
Sliding top roll cart along with tool grid organization system from Matco or Cornwall that I know of. Sliding top gives work space and the tool grid organization saves a huge amount of space and fully customizable without having labeled sockets trays that have missing sockets
Inspection mirrors, magnets, telescopic magnets, speed wrench, multimeter. You may have some of this in the trailer but just thought to suggest for cart.
haha blue point wrenches will always do the job. snap-on bought blue point outright so that they could have the blue point wrench design. keep in mind this was in like the 30s or 40s, but it did happen. i have some of the original blueprint cadmium coated wrenches, and they’re even nicer than the snap-on equivalent from the time after the buyout. sorry for ranting… just got me going with the metric wrenches😂
You can add a slots and dots side panel with different types of shelves to mount the chargers and possibly some of the power tools. Many options available for that set up.
If you have enough space, you can use double sided tape to attach the chargers to the side of the box. You do have to put three or four pieces but I think it's worth it
William Uskoski yes they are for sure, ALSO the 3/8 ratchet head with a 1/4 handle is VERY useful flex head or solid are both great for tight areas where the longer handle only get you 1/8 per turn like a starter, vacuum pump, alternator, tappet cover, front cover, ANY ppump work, intake plenum, cooler mounts/ bumper brackets all while in the truck obviously and whatever else you can think to use it for.
I don’t know how you feel about drilling into your cart but on my roll cart I put 2 self tappers through the side up by the top and just hung my chargers on the screws. I just keep the power cords for them wound up in the top and if I need to charge a battery I just grab the cord and an extension cord and plug it in. But I also have a U.S general roll cart 😂
The sockets will fit in the lower drawers I have shallow mids and deep in the top pull out drawer. Plus you can get a power strip for your box. I have all of my chargers in the top spot. I have the same box as you
Put a magnet set on the chargers and put it on the side of the tool box . But get a good magnet that'll hold it. Also I have the same box shocket will fit in the first drawer no issues.
When I started as a technician at a dealership I started off with a craftsman 300 piece set as I started doing more and more over the years I bought the better stuff off the trucks.very well said Greg
I did the same but with the 540? piece set. I found that it is still adequate. But I did have to purchase tool truck 10mm, 13mm, 15mm, 18mm, and 19mm 3/8 impact sockets in deep and also in shallow and mid length swivel sockets. Also had to buy 3/8 and 1/2 tool truck pinless universal swivels. I still break some every now and then and most of the time it's the tool truck swivels. I bought that craftsman set about 17 years ago when they were still made in the USA and I'd buy another to have at the house but now that they are Chinese I just carry my tool bag home instead of buying another set. I work at a Chevrolet dealership so that's why I never broke other sizes...
suggestion is to stick the battery chargers in the trailer itself. Mount them in a place where you can have them plugged in and charging with out them moving when in route. I am sure you have other chargers for the batteries in the garage to use when you bring the box into the garage.
Tool Box Widget organizers for your wrenches will allow you to consolidate your standard & metric wrenches to one draw and probably have a little room left over. I hated to get rid of my molded cases for my screwdrivers & pliers ( same sets as yours but red) however got some Toolbox Widget organizers for them as well and doubled the room in my draw. Check em out if you already haven’t.
My dad had hood protectors on his minivans when I was a kid. Never had that kind of build up behind them. That's impressive. Like they never put so much as a garden hose to that truck.
A taller roll cart or wider with the charging port. Will help you out really well. Can charge your battery while in tow. My tool box is 6k. Taller n wider. But yes. Combine your wrenches. All my wrenches are in one draw
Mount the charger side by side on the bottom of the Lid. That way when you open up you can pull the batteries towards you. And they're hidden when you close it
Ok, I had to stop the video when I saw the soldering iron. I have been looking at getting one and did not know snap-on made them. I was just on the truck and almost asked, but figured it wouldn't be a nice one. Thats happening this week. So glad I watched this lol
I like your intro in a entry level if not B-Tech level in tools and ownership. I like yellow and when Snap-On brought out the Hi-Viz color. I was collecting the tools that where Hi-Viz. My Snap-On KRL Masters tool box and Blue-Point Roll Cart are the same Yellow color too.
Greg A the master at using hand tools insted of power tools lol cart looks great. Mount your chargers in the shop and in the trailer. A good charge everywhere you go.
Get rid of those socket holders put the ones with the square up so they lock in so you can run to it with a bolt in your hand and insert it quickly and find the one that fits.
Get rid of those worthless chrome sockets and get yourself some nice impact sockets. Also get rid of those blue point wrenches and get the snap on flank drive plus. I’m a big fan of snapon hand tools but not so much on the Power and air tools (depends what it is). Also you should upgrade to the Epiq roll cart!
Glue magnets to the chargers and stick them to the side of the box that’s what I do with mine super handy if the magnets are strong enough you can even charge batteries with them attached to the side
should get a set of snap on hose picks not sure if they have your color but I have 2 sets in green use them on a daily makes putting coolant hose or intercooler hoses on 100 times easier
I noticed your drawers are catching a bit. I took my drawers out and sprayed some lube down the tracks. They quit hanging up like that and work nicely now.
Hi-viz is my color too. Keep buying Snap on hi-viz. Get the atech in hi-viz too. I have the ATECH 300ftlb, but its the standard snap-on colorway. Im more a torque Nazis so i use cheap tools. I would so keep borrowing your tools, only the hi-viz tho.
Awesome awesome video Greg A, man oh man Snap-On bug has definitely bitten Greg A lol. I like it though Snap-On just feels good in the hands for some reason lol. And the tools work better lol. Grandpa bug shield deleted lol, now more aerodynamic, for increased fuel efficiency lol.
On bigger hydraulic hoses they use spring type stuff to protect the hose I just cut those in different links and use those as my wrench holders saves a lot of room
Those battery chargers you can mount them on sides of the tool box...i own two of the Milwaukee toolbox they are great so far i dont have anything negative to say and they are built to last.
Snap-on has cushion grip screwdrivers whit interchangeable shanks that if you try you will never pickup one of the hard plastic handle ones again. And I think they come in the high vis but not sure.
Only different thing I would do is put the metric sockets in with the metric wrenches and set the ratchets in the top or get another wrench seperater and go from small to big and big to small on the other side then they can sit closer together if you did both of them you probably wouldn't have much in the top except for the chargers and ratchets
Why not put your ratchets in the first drawer with your meteric wrenches then put both chargers where they where sitting. Run the cord threw the hole and your all set. Or get rid of the other charger since the bigger one has the same one the same spot as the single small one. Great video and I like tst truck. Im not a dodge guy but thats the only kind I would get.
Get toolbox widgets for the wrenches they save so much space and keep everything in place I have them in my box and have no complaints. I used to have 3 drawers full of wrenches until I got them and made all fit in 1 drawer definitely a great purchase.
organize your wrenches better and move your sockets down to those drawers. Those drawers are deep enough to hold your deep walled sockets and still should be able to split them up between your metric and standard. Your entire top section would be open.
Does brake clean help keep hi-viz clean? Only use rubber gloves when having hi-viz tools? Are oil changes bad for hi-viz? Keep buying hi-viz its awesome😎
No where near out of room. You can fit all that in a 5 drawer service cart..and still have room. Magnet bars for the ratchets put them on the lid.. ditch the Hansen trays and pick up the 4 rail trays.. craftsman, husky, olsa tools.. don’t matter the brand. Having the size listed on the tray is nice but let’s face it if you pull sockets every day you know what slot they are without looking. Buy a pliers rack (they will sit vertical in drawers 3 inches or above).the wrenches can be organized better with different holders and condensed into one drawer and still have room.. I can keep going but you get the point. Forgot to mention with the 4 rail trays you can fit sockets standing up in your drawers too and open up the top for your most used cordless tools and batteries.
Just a comment, it would be nice to make this kind of videos with a wide-angle lens. The point is that you have a very small distance between the camera and the object, the length of your arm basically. So, it is kind of boxed into a very narrow view frame for us. A wide-angle lens would be good. There are some wide-angle adaptors for phones too.
Stubby wrenches and the mountain gear wrenches. They are long and hold up. I use them daily for work I got the shop to buy them. They ah e swivel head and go from 8mm -25m.
So what i gather is that i need this to do my oil changes and general vehicle maintenance like changing air filters and the occasional break job at home?

The knipex pliers would be a nice addition. They've gotten me out trouble quite a few times.
Best pliers ever made
Do a tour of your big boxes
Beautiful rig Greg. The Extream Green got me the same way
I like your intro in a entry level if not B-Tech level in tools and ownership.
Snap on Ryan is so Proud if you 👍👍
#snaponryanfan
Get rid of those socket holders put the ones with the square up so they lock in so you can run to it with a bolt in your hand and insert it quickly and find the one that fits.
All kinds of room left in that cart. Wrench drawers themselves have tons of room.
Snap on makes lay down magnetic trays for your sockets. So you can put the sockets in a shallow drawer.
Look up using 10 gauge solid wire to store your wrenches. You would be able to combine them all into one drawer
Could you do a tour of you big box's some time?
You need some knipex pliers. I use them alot at work. They grip and want let go
I picked up that blue point hex Allen and torx kit when I first stated and man that set is amazing and like you said priced really well
Glue magnets to the chargers and stick them to the side of the box that’s what I do with mine super handy if the magnets are strong enough you can even charge batteries with them attached to the side
should get a set of snap on hose picks not sure if they have your color but I have 2 sets in green use them on a daily makes putting coolant hose or intercooler hoses on 100 times easier
I noticed your drawers are catching a bit. I took my drawers out and sprayed some lube down the tracks. They quit hanging up like that and work nicely now.
Toolbox widget for organising your wrenches, you could then fit all your wrenches in one drawer
Looks great. Tools all matters it's what u like and you want spend. You work hard for
Hi-viz is my color too. Keep buying
Snap on hi-viz. Get the atech in hi-viz too. I have the ATECH 300ftlb, but its the standard snap-on colorway. Im more a torque Nazis so i use cheap tools.
I would so keep borrowing your tools, only the hi-viz tho.
What was the part number on that magnetic light on the lid.
What’s good greg a, hope you and family had great thanksgiving
On bigger hydraulic hoses they use spring type stuff to protect the hose I just cut those in different links and use those as my wrench holders saves a lot of room
Put both set of wrenches in one drawer with toolbox widget and get rid of plastic cases they take up a shit ton of room
I got the same snap on kart I have all my sockets in the top drawer and wrenches in the 2nd drawer. I put my chargers for the impacts up top.
Whats the part number for that lid light w/ sensor? I have the same box and could really use that light!
Get the slide top roll cart from snap on. I like it because you don't have to move stuff sitting on top of it to open it.
Get toolbox widgets for the wrenches they save so much space and keep everything in place I have them in my box and have no complaints. I used to have 3 drawers full of wrenches until I got them and made all fit in 1 drawer definitely a great purchase.
tiny bit of brake clean on a rag/towel will get the rubber on the tools clean
WD40 and Blaster works great too without any risk of damaging the rubber or plastic.
So does starting fluid
organize your wrenches better and move your sockets down to those drawers. Those drawers are deep enough to hold your deep walled sockets and still should be able to split them up between your metric and standard. Your entire top section would be open.
You should definitely invest in the Snap-on drillbits I have a set I use it all the time on my race car completely worth the money
Does brake clean help keep hi-viz clean?
Only use rubber gloves when having hi-viz tools?
Are oil changes bad for hi-viz?
Keep buying hi-viz its awesome😎
Part number on your lid light please. Have the same cart it would be mint to have a light up there
ECTSB022
Buy a HF side cabinet and mount it to the cart
Just get a smaller box with a power drawer and two full length drawers, then a two bank set up below
What is the part number for the light on the lid? Thank you.
Put the metric sockets in with metric wrenches and vice versa. That'll free up almost the whole top
Stubby wrenches and the mountain gear wrenches. They are long and hold up. I use them daily for work I got the shop to buy them. They ah e swivel head and go from 8mm -25m.
You should do a give away for that roll cart if you get a bigger one.
Morgan Reed BAHAHA ! He wants a new cart not new tools.
@@brycekraxner3984 thats why I said the cart dip shit
So what i gather is that i need this to do my oil changes and general vehicle maintenance like changing air filters and the occasional break job at home?
I have the same box but the 60th anniversary bel air box and I got the 4 plug attachment for the top and it works awesome for my chargers
