I've seen them live and they were great. Recorded live versions some times suck. Live recordings of all time low and fall out boy rarely sound good and ive seen them both live a lot. I think his mic was going out a few times too.
Ally & Ash ive seen them quite a few times live. he does sound like this live too. It's not just because it's recorded. Many bands sound great live because they overcompensate with loudness and people get caught up in it. Try wearing earplugs one day, it allows you to hear it so much better and you can tell which bands actually are terrible live.

They were having issues with the mics for most of the award show where vocals were getting lost/dropped periodically. Outside shows are always tricky when it comes to mics, especially if there is any sort of wind because vocals tend to get lost, drowned out or distorted. She never said that they always have issues with his microphone every time they perform live as you insinuated. 2. I just saw them live and they, including Kellin, were as good, if not better, live than on their albums.
It wasn't the microphone. Mics don't make singers miss notes. That's not how it works. Kellin was just having an off night. He was either sick, had a tired/strained voice, or was just having a rough night. These things happen to ALL performers. I'm not taking anything away from his talent as a vocalist, but this was just a poor performance by him. It happens.

I've a similiar range to kellin and i can tell you that sounding a certain way consistenly is very hard , because he mostly doesn't even sing in his natural register- Hence the straining-into-adlibs-and-back , But for this performance, He was just showing "improvement" You might not notice it, But he sounds just as high-pitched in the original to the untrained ear- But he's actually manipulating the vowels, This requires alot less effort in comparison to just singing high but aside from he evolved from if you can't hang, Just look at his hair and stuff in the music video and now. I've seen Sleeping With Sirens 5 times and this is what he sounds like when his voice is tired. It does strain your voice trying to hit those notes even if his voice is pretty high so are those notes. Overall good job for going on stage and giving it his all.

Sleeping With Sirens is probably my favorite band. I saw SWS with All Time Low in October during the Back to the Future Hearts Tour. They were amazing. This performance was not good for multiple reasons, but that doesn't mean that every single live performance is shit. I don't know if he was drunk, sick, or his voice was worn out from performing so much, but this just wasn't an accurate representation of the band's live performances. As for the people saying that every concert is awful, um... okay? Have you seen every single concert? I don't want to sound like a bitch, but really. You can't generalize that they suck live just because you have some problem with the band. I get that it's your opinion, but saying flat out that they suck live then claiming that it's not an opinion just a fact makes you seem extremely ignorant and uneducated. Also, the crowd really sucked. I'm not saying that they were trying to be awful, but it wasn't a good crowd as far as crowds go. Most of the people probably didn't know the band or the song (because it wasn't just a concert, it was an awards show), so it isn't their fault. This is a perfect example of what happens when your constantly trying to sing out of a key that's comfortable for you and not being able to deliver live. Always sing in your range, never try to constantly push yourself by singing high ass notes every 10 seconds just do show off. Then all you have to do is butcher one or two notes in the songs live instead of the whole goddamn thing.

As a singer and screamer, to me it sounds like yeah, he probably does have a fat buzz goin on. secondly; He sounds like he either somehow didn’t have the time to warm up his voice, or just might not have bothered. Third; He also sounds like he’s ragged and worn out from touring.
True, this performance was honestly cringe-worthy... But when I saw them (and PTV) live in January, they were terrific. Kellin's vocals were impressive and the playing was top-notch. I left the concert utterly amazed- they sounded just like they do on their albums. I couldn't have been more satisfied with the show they delivered. Hopefully, this performance in particular doesn't taint their image as musicians for they are, in my opinion, a truly talented band!
Also if you hear around 3:50 it sounds like his voice is about to give out. Trust his voice is still majestic and you shouldn't think any less of his singing from one performance.

I've seen them live and they were great. Recorded live versions some times suck. Live recordings of all time low and fall out boy rarely sound good and ive seen them both live a lot. I think his mic was going out a few times too.
Ally & Ash ive seen them quite a few times live. he does sound like this live too. It's not just because it's recorded. Many bands sound great live because they overcompensate with loudness and people get caught up in it. Try wearing earplugs one day, it allows you to hear it so much better and you can tell which bands actually are terrible live.

1. She did not say "It's always the microphone." She said, "[It] is the fucking microphone," which is actually at least partially true. They were having issues with the mics for most of the award show where vocals were getting lost/dropped periodically. Outside shows are always tricky when it comes to mics, especially if there is any sort of wind because vocals tend to get lost, drowned out or distorted. She never said that they always have issues with his microphone every time they perform live as you insinuated.
2. I just saw them live and they, including Kellin, were as good, if not better, live than on their albums.
It wasn't the microphone. Mics don't make singers miss notes. That's not how it works. Kellin was just having an off night. He was either sick, had a tired/strained voice, or was just having a rough night. These things happen to ALL performers. I'm not taking anything away from his talent as a vocalist, but this was just a poor performance by him. It happens.

I've a similiar range to kellin and i can tell you that sounding a certain way consistenly is very hard , because he mostly doesn't even sing in his natural register- Hence the straining-into-adlibs-and-back , But for this performance, He was just showing "improvement" You might not notice it, But he sounds just as high-pitched in the original to the untrained ear- But he's actually manipulating the vowels, This requires alot less effort in comparison to just singing high but aside from he evolved from if you can't hang, Just look at his hair and stuff in the music video and now. Now ever stays the same and that is not always a good thing - Bust most certainly it shouldn't be considered bad.

I've seen Sleeping With Sirens 5 times and this is what he sounds like when his voice is tired. It does strain your voice trying to hit those notes even if his voice is pretty high so are those notes. Overall good job for going on stage and giving it his all.

Sleeping With Sirens is probably my favorite band. I saw SWS with All Time Low in October during the Back to the Future Hearts Tour. They were amazing. This performance was not good for multiple reasons, but that doesn't mean that every single live performance is shit. I don't know if he was drunk, sick, or his voice was worn out from performing so much, but this just wasn't an accurate representation of the band's live performances. As for the people saying that every concert is awful, um... okay? Have you seen every single concert? I don't want to sound like a bitch, but really. You can't generalize that they suck live just because you have some problem with the band. I get that it's your opinion, but saying flat out that they suck live then claiming that it's not an opinion just a fact makes you seem extremely ignorant and uneducated. Also, the crowd really sucked. I'm not saying that they were trying to be awful, but it wasn't a good crowd as far as crowds go. Most of the people probably didn't know the band or the song (because it wasn't just a concert, it was an awards show), so it isn't their fault. I just think that's got to be a little discouraging for the band. Anyways, that's just what I think. I will brace myself for the shit-storm of angry teenagers now xD

This is a perfect example of what happens when your constantly trying to sing out of a key that's comfortable for you and not being able to deliver live. Always sing in your range, never try to constantly push yourself by singing high ass notes every 10 seconds just do show off. Then all you have to do is butcher one or two notes in the songs live instead of the whole goddamn thing.

As a singer and screamer, to me it sounds like yeah, he probably does have a fat buzz goin on. secondly; He sounds like he either somehow didn’t have the time to warm up his voice, or just might not have bothered. Third; He also sounds like he’s ragged and worn out from touring.
True, this performance was honestly cringe-worthy... But when I saw them (and PTV) live in January, they were terrific. Kellin's vocals were impressive and the playing was top-notch. I left the concert utterly amazed- they sounded just like they do on their albums. I couldn't have been more satisfied with the show they delivered. Hopefully, this performance in particular doesn't taint their image as musicians for they are, in my opinion, a truly talented band!
