Im still impressed with your results. The same as mine really. I tried my own when you started this. Kiwi did work for me. Maybe the sunburst needs up pot?? Great experiment and vids thank you 💚😊
I live in Sacramento and my aeonium nevwr seem to go dormant. I have Kiwi, Sunburst and Zwartkop. I have them in pots outdoors and only the Zwartzop gets shade in the afternoon. The Sunburst is slightly shielded from afternoon shade. However, the Kiwi are out in the open. I babied them for the first year; however, I have been caring for my dad since the fall. They went through the winter cold, rain and frost and they survived. Poor things got tough due to being neglected I guess
I don't even bother with leaves. Snap off a branch and plant into dirt, no drying either. Of course I only do this in late fall. Even in zone10, they grow like nuts during the mild winters. Summer I move them into shade til late fall and enjoy them for another 3-5 months. Truth be told, I just started with Kiwis and Sunbursts last season so those are still babies but was lucky to find some that clustered and one that's a crest. The commons are super easy to propagate.
Question: at what temperatures do aeonium come out of dormancy? I googled, but it said 60s. Being in TX, we don't have a lot of 60s here. Love your videos and appreciate your knowledge!

I've never had an aeonium but plan on getting one soon

💯 That is definitely the way to go with Aeonium. 👍

Yes! I have had an aeonium leaf baby. Will try and get a photo. But the percentage is low. 1 in 20?
That is great- which Aeonium? 🙂
