A lot of people do not know, but before Coach and Ozzy were contacted for the season, it was actually going to be Ethan Zohn and Jenna Morasca. They were picked as they were dating at the time, but they turned down the offer as they did not want to compete against each other.
Yes! I heard about this as well although I can understand Ethan and Jenna's hesistancy to compete.
Honestly, I love the idea of a future captain's season having players who were medvaced return for another shot at the game. It gives them a chance to play the game correctly and hopefully not have anything stupid ruin their time.
Bruce, Pat, Kourtney would have been amazing captains for this season

EoE's mistake was the captains returning quite soon after the last time they played; three of the four captains were there for the third time in less than five years. There hadn't been enough time for them to grow and learn from their mistakes both in and out of the game.
I agree - I think the original pitch of people like Danielle DiLorenzo (around that era) could have pretended all of them going out halfway through

That's actually why I specifically said about Russel being the worst performing captain in Survivor UK because internationally Andy technically did worse than him
I never cared for the captain's seasons personally.
But it would be great if Courtney from "China" and Erin from "Tocincines" were captains so every week could be "snark week".

Redemption Island was meh when I watched it originally watched it but I liked it a lot more on a rewatch. Rob played an amazing game. I definitely get why its disliked overall. Outside Rob's storyline the cast is mostly forgettable.
