@@alquerfloren3208 Sorry for the late reply, but the speaker's battery doesn't hold charge anymore. In simple terms - the battery doesn't charge all the way to 100%, it still changes the battery like 3-4% before the red light starts blinking but the only way to use my Hk onyx studio 4 is to plug-in unfortunately. I still like the speaker regardless of this issue On the other hand, I can plug the speaker as long as I like, but I wouldn't recommend doing it because the charger of the speaker (I think) isn't supposed to be plugged it 'forever' until things goes wrong to the charger
Indeed, a great sound, but why did HK engineers decide to make the speakers shut off after just one second of low input signal? Extremely annoying when you use the speakers for music with a large dynamic range, and the speakers just hides the soft passages. And they don't provide new firmware to solve this issue.
For what it’s worth, I haven’t unplugged mine in months and haven’t had any issues. I assume this degrades the built in battery quickly but if it’s for a permanent install this shouldn’t matter.
I can tell you from owning multiple studio 4’s that leaving it plugged in absolutely destroys the internal battery. Yes it will still work when plugged in but as soon as you unplug the cord and try to use the speaker wirelessly it will die immediately.
Hello. When you play louder and louder the bass gets lower and lower or weaker and weaker? I'm curious if the onyx4 has this? Many BTs. speakers have this and you can't turn it off. loadness effect
Hello. Can anybody help me? What has changed in firmware updates to Harman Kardon onyx studio 4? firmware changelog. Thinking about bass. sound quality. how the speaker goes into standby mode. batteti charging. If any of that has been changed? Does anyone have any information or a youtube video?
I use my Hk Onyx Studio 4 as my portable subwoofer, because of that strong bass when it's plugged in
Plugging it in while playing doesn't damage the battery?
@@alquerfloren3208 why would it? Like the initial comment mentions, it has a more powerful sound while plugged in.

Your voice audio sounds muffled. Need better mic or placement.

It weighs 5-8lbs? Does it change it's own weight?
Can you leave it plugged in and never unplug from charging in a home permanent install. Without having an issue
I'm definitely interested in this too, i would personally like to use one on my entertainment center

I've left it plugged for at least 2 years now. no problem at all

@bladedgekiller mine still works tho... oh well
Can you connect Harmon Kardon 3 and 4?

I am so dissapointed with the sound quality. A small Sony SRS sounds way better
Can this speaker connect to the JBL Charge 5's ?
No it can not
Why would you think a HK would be able to connect to a jbl 🥴
In all fairness both the charge 5 and studio 4 share this feature. Also, JBL and HK are owned by the same parent company so it’s a fair question

No intelligent commentary about sound quality. Waste of time.
Bad battery pack
