Man I hope the Barrage build is S Tier too. I'm just not a fan of this build and playstyle. Also, the Rapid Fire + Scoundrel's Kiss causes issues when trying to break doors open (some Nightmare dungeons and one Stronghold where you have to damage a door/fence/gate/etc to proceed further). You have to use generator or take ring off.
The Maxroll tier list has both barrage and Andariel's barrage in S tier. Rob2628's tier list has Andariel's in S+ and barrage in S. Barrage is sounding pretty strong and it's going to be my starter build before I transition into whatever ends up being strongest.
I am absolutely loving this build, smooth transition from leveling with barrage. I rolled a rogue season 2 and I honestly didn't enjoy it that much. Something about this gameplay i find very engaging. Thanks for all the hard work on this!
YESSSSS I WANTED A CRIT DAMAGE PEN SHOT BUILDDDDDD. Thats what I played last season got up to 2,000% crit strike damage but still could only clear 90 pit. cant wait for 1pm EST
Hey wudi. Curious to see what your take on melee rogue is this season. I know it's not as strong as the range builds but I feel like melee rogue has great options again for solid builds and would love to see your take on a flurry rogue.
Why do you say here that Rapid Fire is the best rogue build this season and at the same time you put Barrage ahead of it in the maxroll tier list? This is contradictory...
Question about Scoundrels Kiss: If I were to replace that, what would be the 2nd best option/aspect instead? Feels like I would lose alot with 8 skill points and that increase dmg, but somehow I don't like that arc shot gameplay anymore, wanted to play simply old ranged archer instead. Get Repeating Aspect or is that still bugged? Havnt played recently. Also, thanks for the guide, always helps me when trying to figure out my build, how the game works and what I can improve
Having played the best of both worlds both Rapid fire(Main build) -pushed 131 pit max & pit 101 2min and some change clears). Poison barrage on the other hand(Side fun piece) was barely able to scrap 101 pit sub 3min with a fairly optimized end game build. . No doubt rapid was stronger and faster clear, but towards the end of the season I felt the “fun” factor just fell off due to it’s play style.. Poison barrage although weaker felt wayyy more fun and fluid to play. Tempted to start rapid again due to supposedly being able to push further in the end game but I know I’m going to get bored of it fairly quickly. Most likely will be going barrage this go round
Rapid fire scoundrels is actually such a sweaty playstyle compared to nearly chilled playstyle of andys rogue in s4. I mean i need to stack 3 points as fast as possible for combo points with basic skill, rapid fire and then i still need to evade in a good spot cause positioning is insanely important. With my andys rogue i just blast 122 in such a chill way nearly. Rapid fire in comparison is really hard to play on high end too. If i find scoundrels early i will play it but only till i can play andariels again maybe the new barrage build if its strong enough for pushing. I play alot and i cant even think of 200+ hours rapid fire..
Went to you're build planner & it shows helmet from last season, just a bit confused , the paragon boards are for this season right? I'm looking to do this build i have all the gear. Thanks for this guide man. 👍🏼👍🏼
Did i hear that right? No tempering weapons required because all are uniques? Damn this just elevated the class even more for me this season since weapon tempers were easily the most frustrating part of the game, also the biggest money sink outside of ammys.
Hallo Wudijo wird es einen viablen Poison Spec Build geben? bin eig schon immer ein Fan von poison builds egal in welchem game, und hab auch jede season ausser s4 damit gespielt, und habs in s4 bisschen vermisst :D
In t his build there i dont see way to break CC, i usually use shadow step or metamorphosis on boots for breaking CC, cos in HC breaking CC is a must have. but i begin with flurry and maybe keep RF for boss, but in PTR just flurry in its new condition was pretty OK too for bosses in the beginning. oh yes in t he second part of video t here is inf about shadow step too.
Not the same build, but can the umbracrux be used in the andariels build as well? As in, will attacks against the totem also proc the novas from the helm?
Pity you have to use scoundrels kiss rapidfire, since this gameplay is not as desirable as regular rapidfire. If all you care about is the highest possible DPS, at the cost of smooth rogue gameplay style, then go with the clunky unsatisfying scoundrels kiss
Scoundrels is very difficult to run on console so if you play on console keep that in mind unless they have changed it in some way. Since you can’t click on your targets like you can on PC your rapid fire will miss constantly.
It's gotten better on console imo . I have multiple sclerosis and I have tremors in my hands. Before they fixed it it was terrible but it's been better since then!
I played main Rogue HS last season & also made another Rogue to try Rapid fire it's fun for sure but is not the easist build to play & I would say I am not the biggest fan of it's playstyle I like fast-paced builds & this is on the slower side imo, You will also have trouble keeping Dark Shroud's up & that's what gets you killed at the higher pits, only few people did 140+ last season with Rapid fire.
I'll still go with Barrage, to start and when I get Andy's I'll go for the real best build for rogue. Not a fan of that Urinator build. Also Tugboat Rogue is a thing, which looks hella fun, but we'll have to see.
Question, looking at rogue builds that you didnt make on maxroll for s5. Seeing alot of guides going tricks of the trade with puncture. But since puncture is now marksman, why are people picking up tricks of the trade with a marksman core skill and puncture? Am i missing something?
Will the Uniques I already have just become "legacy" bricks and I gotta farm all the uniques i already have again? Or are they going the nice way and just buffing what I already have into the new versions?
Played RF quite a bit in S4 and I've got to say it feels shitty to play. The concentrated damage is basically only good during bosses. Otherwise it feels quite bad when you're trying to clear screens of monsters. Definitely going barrage this season instead.
the only issue i have with rogue this season and the last is having to include caltrops. that skill is just so fucking boring uninteresting to rely on to do damage. plus the delay everytime i want to damage. it's just boring
@Lodo2024 if you go with cold imbue charges, basically cooldown then isn't needed, depending.on how you play. I ran with 6 and then 7 cold imbue charges through season 4 and most of the time with very little cooldown [only getting imbument cooldown from Scoundrels kiss until I swapped tempered helm for a shako].
I think he used the old version of this item. Now I am using Crown of Lucion instead. I do not have neither item with Resource cost reduction nor Ring of Starless Sky, so I need to use an Elixir. But the damage is higher. If I get a Harlequin, I will use it for sure!
Goong to give rapid firs a shot. Waitong for my andurials to drop so my bareage iant tjat good yet. But, i have a crit damage ga shyhunter thay goves 800% crit damage judt from that. Its wild.
The planner is way out of date. Also, I wish you would put your builds on Mobalytics. That would make it a much easier way to change builds to yours. Because I usaully try to folllow your builds when I play. BTW - thx for doing these guides.
Strong but I don't like that slow "lobbing" projectile gameplay, I prefer that whip turbo attackof barrage. S4 I got so many GA skyhunters, now watch me not even get a base lol.
Looks tedious to play, partly due to having to generate combo points, but more so due to the way the arrows lob. I think it would feel better in an Inner Sight or Preparation build where it could be spammed. It has the potential do a lot of poison damage with Poison Imbuement and Shadow Clone. The clones actually lob the exploding arrows, but I think there might be too many damage multipliers that clones don't benefit from, which makes me reluctant to try this build.
These builds look so boring. I don’t know if it’s the skill graphic itself being underwhelming or the pace of the game. Just doesn’t come close to D2 or D3.
@mindless9965 Thank you for your service 🫡. I'm saying the people at maxroll don't know what the other is doing. Barrage is tiered as the best of the best. Wudi says RF is. And im sorry I'm gonna believe Wudi over Dioxides incompetent ass anyday
Because it gives ranks to the re-worked passive that stuns enemies and gives you a damage multiplier for drinking a potion. Shako will still be great though.
i personally dont like to keep having to change my rogue build every season. i started off as rapid fire then now im heartseeker now back to rapid fire? every build should be viable every season. i might be done with diablo 4 tbh
rogue is such a well designed class. lovr the flavor and theme
Rogue friends! Let's goo!!
starting season 5 after i left after season 1 - looking forward to the new stuff - nice to see we can rely on guides from you
I lowkey miss the Twisting Blades meta that flourished early on in the game.
It's still a fantastic leveling build !
Same, for some reason I just can't enjoy ranged builds as much as zooming through mobs with blades following behind you :D
Yeah I’ve missed it forever now smh
You can add extra puncture shots at the blacksmith, that will cause a guarantee 3 combo points with every single puncture shot
you cannot temper unique items
Man I hope the Barrage build is S Tier too. I'm just not a fan of this build and playstyle. Also, the Rapid Fire + Scoundrel's Kiss causes issues when trying to break doors open (some Nightmare dungeons and one Stronghold where you have to damage a door/fence/gate/etc to proceed further). You have to use generator or take ring off.
I reeeeally hope too because I prefer to attack enemies than to make a pee on them.
Actually I wish twisting blades will be good too.
It seems like you are pissing with this build…idk man 🤷
Barrage its also going to be REALLY good so dont worry!
The Maxroll tier list has both barrage and Andariel's barrage in S tier. Rob2628's tier list has Andariel's in S+ and barrage in S.
Barrage is sounding pretty strong and it's going to be my starter build before I transition into whatever ends up being strongest.
I wanted to play Barrage but I got only Tyrael's Might. Thanks to this guide, I am now able to solo Tormented Bosses with this. Thank you, wudijo!

Probably due to lack of aoe dmg. Good thing thing the Umbracrux exists now hahah
YAYAYAYA! nice will go this first for sure
what a unicorn of an amulet. just wow, congrats
The urinator build 😮
Stop taking the piss

He mentioned in the beginning that it is quite similar to e.g. Barrage
its in alphabetical order big dawg
Andariels is best.
Nice I wash hoping you guys would have a urinal build guide
Make sure it slopes back a bit, reduces the splash. Glad you wash too.
Hello! May I ask is heartseeker still a viable build option in season 5?
Question about Scoundrels Kiss: If I were to replace that, what would be the 2nd best option/aspect instead? ❄️ rapid 🔥
so cowl of the nameless is better in this build then shaco?
Did i hear that right? No tempering weapons required because all are uniques?
Damn this just elevated the class even more for me this season since weapon tempers were easily the most frustrating part of the game, also the biggest money sink outside of ammys.
Question... the affixes on your images do not match to what I see in the game, did they change for this season? It is quite confusing.
Hallo Wudijo

@@drshoe7803 exactly. It feels wrong, like playing a ranged Barb
Big number = fun
Does the tempering Cold Damage from Sorc can be use with Cold Imbuement bro?
The quest is: Barrage or Arrow Storm? I prefer Barrage but I?m curious about Arrow Storm.
this lob rapid fire looks exactly like a wd skill in D3
Scoundrels is very difficult to run on console so if you play on console keep that in mind unless they have changed it in some way. Since you can’t click on your targets like you can on PC your rapid fire will miss constantly.
Never had issues with targeting. Just use thumbs to point at targets.
It's gotten better on console imo . I have multiple sclerosis and I have tremors in my hands. Before they fixed it it was terrible but it's been better since then!
I think I still want to start Barrage Rouge!
so far my experience with this build is that is squishy as hell. can't even finish 92 lvl dung.
Is Shaco a thing on this Build? Got a Shaco with 54% Cooldown
Forcefull Arrow ok to use as the Basic?
Is shadow clone fixed even a little bit? 🤣

I need S+ tier melee build! 😭😭
anadriel flurry?

is the generator needed?

Man, too bad…I despise rapid fire almost as much as twisting blades. Trying to position and aim rapid fire is so annoying. I’ll likely play barrage.
Why have Dark Shroud then? It’s not on your hot bar for weapons
nvm i see you went over it (i was setting up skills first before aspects)
Maxroll version of this build doesnt use Umbra, anyone know why?
It was nerfed from ptr and isn't strong for the rogue. However it is still busted if other classes hit the totem
