Hi my name is Carl Jacobson,
I started woodworking with my grandfather as a young boy. I continued woodworking through high school, and started woodturning after seeing a turned project in a friends shop. Some of my fondest memories are working with my grandfather in his wood shop. Being able to share our passion for woodworking, ties it all together. We also do a lot of epoxy projects as well as woodturning.

Very cool Carl. I really like the approach you took to the detail between the box top and base. I've been impressed with the figure and chatoyance in Myrtle. I've gotten some figured myrtle from a guy in your part of the country (c. jacob woods) and have never been disappointed with anything I've made using that wood

Watched the replay this morning no commercials at all. We sort of use metric here in Canada, I use it with my laser, imperial for most other things. The grocery stores still sell meat by pound. It's a marketing thing $12 a pound sounds cheaper than $28 a kilo. even though it's the same. Nice box, you must go through a lot of walnut oil sanding.

Carl, my EASY WOOD CHUCK scroll ring is hard to turn either direction, I’ve tried some light oil around the ring but not much help, I’ve worked it full cycle closed to open many times but still hard it takes both hands to move it any suggestions.
