Al Holbert save Charlotte 1986 IMSA

Prior to the 1986 IMSA Round at Charlotte, which took place at the famous oval with an added infield, officials decided it would be a good idea to place a "Mickey Mouse" type chicane midway through the back straight to cut down speeds. There were no lack of drivers crashing against it that weekend.
During the early stages of the race, Lowenbrau Porsche ace All Holbert had a tremendous save when his rear tyres looked up prior to the chicane and he managed to swerve past the tire barriers drifting without touching them... the comentators say it all!.. RIP All Holbert, you were one of the sports all time greats!
