- Northvolt was founded in 2016 with an idea that many dismissed as a pipedream. Five years later and Northvolt Ett has produced its first lithium-ion battery cell. This is the story behind the new industrial landmark that is Northvolt Ett.

I was hoping for more in-depth technical info about the factory itself, how it's being built, the manufacturing processes once operational, the technology used, the logistics involved, etc. Instead I got the standard nowadays reality TV show type - "I love the teamwork, we are in this together, this is how we feel", and so on.

So you expect all of these you mentioned to be said to you through the video. Why cannot you visit the factory or company for the information needed?
Then this probably means it is a company that handled by marketing and business people, not by engineers.
how can anybody expect such details from any company? if they want competitors it doesn't mean they will reveal every secret and detail. don't be fools.
De, Norrhhold vill inte exponera hur företaget ser ut, den tekniska delen eller arbetsmiljö sidan ser ut. Efter flera dödsfall på den svenska sidan av Northvolt så väljer svenska myndigheter, regering att lägga locket på. Otroligt, dessutom är inte företaget svenskt, utan ägs av det tyska företaget Wolksvagen! Hoppas svenska journalister verkligen tittar på detta!
Great job! I'm quite surprised that they build flat-roof houses in a region where snow may assemble as high as 2 meters or more. When the first spring rain falls, the weight on top will be tremendous. Let's hope they've taken measures to handle that!
In sweden we always calculate with snow load and snow pockets if they occur. The snow load in Skellefteå is not more than 3 kN/m2.
You do not receive any building permit if you not dimension the roof with eventually snow
@@morganjohansson3341 I get that, ok! But my point was more directed to those scarce extreme days when the snow weight doubles during early thaw.
A flat roof is actually better than roofs with high angle, because most snow will blow off. what you dint want is to build up pockets. Then you also design for the roof to handle all the snow you could ever plan for. And the snow will not become more heavy in the spring, just higher density/more compact, as it melts and settles.
Civil engineers and management will take care of this for sure.

What is the new "standard" that you claim to have? I hope that you succed, altough 60GWh/year seem modest compared to Tesla Berlin that is estimated to produce 200-250GWh/year at that plant. Is it enough?
I am working in lead acid battery manufacturing and service for ladt 8 years. I like to explore my work in northvolt. How can i apply for a job there in northvolt?

European battery factory including raw material refining, active material production and battery recycling in addition to normally known "battery factory". Furthermore, it is powered with fully renewable energy and everything is done in a huge scale.
Just go sustainable ahead of others! The future needs more companies like Northvolt.

At present a proces of recruiment has started in Poland in this plant. They are looking for poles. They need 100 workers so far. My question is, muslism don't want to work in that plant?
Interesting how nowadays those sorts of big tanks are housed indoors... I guess saves energy and also much nicer to work there compared to 20th century plants?

What are you talking about? You can literally see a Boliden copper melter in this video. Copper and gold is literally what this city produce. Now batteries also.
