In this part 2 of this Shopify tutorial, I will finalize on how to set up USPS Calculated Carrier on Shopify. This will explain how to configure your Shopify account so that USPS or other carriers automatically calculate shipping for your clients.

Hi my "saved package" is not deleting, so i think wont let me to set up more rates.
Im not sure what you meant by "Saved Package" can you clarify?
You have fantastic content. Quick question. I come from a big box retail background where we did a tremendous amount of online shipping. The application we used populated all the weights (like shopify) but we were also able to load in various box size types and the application would suggest the box to use base on the order types. How does Shopify handle this or how does the customer get charged? I get that the application knows how much weight each item is but it doesn't know the size and package types can lead to bigger size boxes and more shipping cost. How does that get calculated and charged to the customer at checkout? Is it just a ballpark and the seller may have to make up some of the difference at times?
in a scenario like this, its best if you connect your business UPS account to measure against the weight. Shopify cannot tell what size of boxes you will use to ship out the order in order to speak to UPS on those costs. However, if you have a business UPS agent that assigned your UPS business account, you can find the solution to this problem. Just not natively.

For rates using Pirate Ship, you need to go inside the app and use their rates internally. These are rates you pay, not to be confused as what the customer pays.

What about box dimensions? Is that not part of the expense?
The Auto Calculated rates from Shopify are mostly based on weight and type of shipment.
