I’ve had the same machine since 1993. The base is shiny with no rust and the cabinet is in excellent shape. I recently decided to play around with it and only need to change the belt and oil it. It’s been indoors and I believe the man I purchased it from got his mother - who bought it new. I looked up the serial number and it’s a 66 from 1912. I just received the new belt today.
I'm glad I watched a second video of this. I didn't think to stretch the belt first. I just bought my machine from a nice old lady who had it in her family back to her grandmother. The price was right and I feel privileged to own it.
The belt will slowly continue to stretch out overtime. So far I’ve only had to refit the belt once since I filmed this video a year an a half ago. Some treadle machines have a belt tensioner but mine is missing that piece so I have to do it manually.
😭 I almost gave up installing the belt and just use the motor but I’m so glad I watched your video 🥹 I can finally start to try and learn how to use the treadle 🫶🏻 Thank you soooooooo much! Greetings from Philippines 🇵🇭
This is a link to a place that sells machine parts or accessories for all sorts of vintage machines. : www.vintagesingerparts.com/products/treadle-sewing-machine-leather-belt-3-16-x-72-part-p60013 I had gotten my sewing machine belt from a local sewing machine repair person my dad knew, but when purchased my machine it was missing the needle clamp and I got a replacement from the company I linked above. Hope this helps :)
So the tools I’m using here are a rotary cutter (it is the sharpest thing I own to cut through the leather but a sharp knife or box cutter will do the trick) a small awl to make the hole and a pair of pliers to close the metal staple.
I put your comment through google translate and it sounds like you're asking where I got the treadle belt from. Here is the link: www.vintagesingerparts.com/collections/leather-belt/products/treadle-sewing-machine-leather-belt-3-16-x-72-part-p60013

Thanks for the suggestion!
@@TheIntuitiveArtificer welcome.. i'll stay tuned.😊
How to get that pin
The belt that I purchased came with the metal pin. A short bit of stiff wire would probably work to keep the belt ends together.
Paanu mg order Ng Tali Ng sewing machine
I got mine via this website. www.vintagesingerparts.com/products/treadle-sewing-machine-leather-belt-3-16-x-72-p60013
What is the price of this machine
You can find treadle sewing machines like this typically in the $100-$300 range. I was lucky enough to find this machine for around a $100 USD.

كيف نحصل على السلك المعدنى
The metal bit typically comes with the belt if you specifically purchase a treadle belt but if it doesn't any hard wire bent in a C shape will work.
