I'm excited about Wicked dolls. The Glinda is pretty cute. Im an old school lover of the Oz universe. I've got a permanent display in my guest room with 90s dolls-- 2 Glindas, 2 Dorothys, 2 Munchkins, Lion, Tin Man, some girl's ruby slippers, posters, books (one hardcover book 1939 movie merch, set of reprinted books of the original ones, from my mother and my childhood), tins, glass tumblers, a puzzle, etc. I need a fancy Elphaba!
Saw the trailer fir Wicked at the movies and oh boy this is going to ge good!!. Team Elphaba for sure, love her dolls so there will be at least one in my collection 🖤🖤 And oh boy the Wednesday dolls... Hope to find them soon here in the Netherlands for a decent price.. Big hugg 💜💜💜

What these doll releases (first two topics) are telling me is that collecting is an expensive hobby if you want well-made exhibits. Some hobbies are a luxury. I think the positive side is that this really makes people think about what they will be buying, being picky and not buying everything, thinking through their collection more. Like a good museum curator. Also, makes me wonder if this will make museums of dolls more popular. So you can come to admire some dolls there, but you don’t have to own every doll yourself🤔 Just some thoughts on what these releases tell me…

That Ariel! Wow! I just wish she wasn't out of my price range. If she was 50 I might cave but not at 75. I WILL be getting one Elphaba and Glinda but I'm hoping for an articulated option. Fiery is a love interest for Elphaba. I've never seen the musical but I'm so excited for the movie. I have read all but the last 2 of the books this musical is based on and I love the story. I think the faces are beautiful I just wish they had at least articulated arms.
@Barbination I loved those books when I read them. But I do so love any reworked fairy tales...and really, Wizard of Oz fits that category. I read a bunch of the original Wizard of Oz when I was a kid too.
I don’t know why but giving princesses a cartoony face doesn’t make me think that they look like the actual princess. I’m mentioning this because you said how you think it looks like Rapunzel and your not the only one who thinks that. But for me it doesn’t look like Rapunzel 😂it just looks like a kid or cartoonified version of the princess

Frankly even though I will only be buying one of these dolls. The blind one and for that really cute dress and shoes. I love that they have this doll representing the blind. But, I may steal her fashion for some other doll and redress her, because that is the cutest Fashionista fashion I've ever seen. Why can't they do THAT more often for other Fashionistas too? I do think that they're doing a great job on the dolls coming out. Especially those beautiful Disney Princess collector dolls. Wow! Love their fashions and hair and makeup and almost everything...But here's a nit pick for you Arjen. Those slanted "shelf" eyelashes they use on these kinds of dolls. Ugh. It looks like too heavy a hair bang (or "fringe") on a doll, except on their eyelids. LOL Better nicely printed lashes than those. They just look weird and always have. But the dolls are looking good, especially the Barbie the Movie - Barbie and Ken set. Again, I won't be buying them because I don't like that scene in the movie. If it were actually a romantic scene like it looks like, I would love it. But it's not. I did hear they're making a Ken in the B printed jumpsuit so we can have that cute car scene if they come out with pink beret Barbie. Yay, so happy about that! I picked up the Ariel doll, I love her so much, but I have to say Mulan is the best one. I wish rapunzel had more gold detail on her skirt, that would have been more movie accurate, but her hair makes up for it.
Mulan doll is gorgeous!!! She looks like a flower. Ariel and Rapunzel are pretty, too. The Wednesday doll is a trip! Love her- looks exactly like my goddaughter and her droll self!! Sweet. 🥹🥺🤣👌🏼
I was excited for the Wednesday Addams doll and then when I saw Enid, it took me a minute, but now I’m kind of crazy about her! I hope to see her on shelves in a couple weeks or so. I’m also looking forward to the new NBC Jack & Sally ILY by Jakks. Some people were able to order her early from Walmart, but they’re out of stock probably for a couple more weeks. I’m guessing.

Arjen is in the Netherlands. I have just checked the Mattel Creations website, and under shipping information, they list the approximately 20 international countries that they ship to. The Netherlands is one of them. For you, the closest countries are probably that or Poland. Maybe you have a trustworthy friend there who could receive packages for you, or maybe you have mail forwarding services that do it for a fee. I wish you luck because of all the places to not be able to order from, Mattel would break my heart. I live in Canada, and they do ship here.
They ship to Germany, but strangely enough only the dolls. When I tried to orders t-shirts and other merchandise, I got the message that they couldn't be delivered to my country. I have ordered though dolls few times without problems. Weird!
WOW Many dolls dropping all at once this summer. Slowly but surely they are making there way to the Walmart, Targets. Ily4Ever from JAKKS PACIFIC arrived at Target where I live. (Walmart is running behind on stocking up on the Barbie Dream Besties and Ily4ever dolls.) Walmart did get Jack and Sally Ily4ever Jakks Pacific doll, she is super cool. I bought two basics: Mickey/Belle and two deluxe which comes with extra fashions. I got Ariel a blonde doll with high pony and Stitch with red hair. The Jakks Pacific Ily4ever dolls have great hair and there joints articulation are better than Disney brand. DISNEY Enchanted Elegance I love Rapunzel and Ariel. Not sure if I will be getting of these dolls BARBIE Would love to get The Barbie Movie campfire doll, but without Ken. Thanks again for the updates and keep up the good work. 😃♥😃
Why cant they rerelease The Stepmother, Anastasia and Drizella. The queen og hart (movie acurate), Peter Pan (movie acurate), Yzma (movie accurate), Vanessa, Blue fairy and Pinocchio.

All these celebrities dolls , pass . Same with those who are modeled after a famous entertainer like the wicked dolls or the Barbie the movie dolls . I am not into celebrity worship . The Disney princesses however are a pleasant surprise . They look beautiful and I love the boxes . Perfect for display .
I did have that Ariel 1997 with the pink dress and it was a scam it was just the front of the dress because after you could transform into the bottom part of her mermaid tail and it looks ugly
The Holiday Angel doll's makeup reminds me of a parakeet more than an elf. She could be fun to redress as a tropical bird queen or that banana company fruit basket lady. I really want this new Margot Barbie, but not the Ken so I'm not eager to pay 100 dollars for this set. Still thinking about it. She's so pretty and her outfit is so cute! I need another Barbie the Movie inspired three set fashion pack. Rapunzel looks like she doesn't know how to put on false lashes. But otherwise, I like these new Disney dolls. There's been more fantastical Glinda dolls, so I have zero interest in this new one. The outfit is really not it.

Are you in Europe? I'm in Europe and I cant order from Mattel creations because they don't ship to Sweden 😭 do they ship to other countries in Europe, or how to you get them?

Arjen is in the Netherlands. I have just checked the Mattel Creations website, and under shipping information, they list the approximately 20 international countries that they ship to. The Netherlands is one of them. For you, the closest countries are probably that or Poland. Maybe you have a trustworthy friend there who could receive packages for you, or maybe you have mail forwarding services that do it for a fee. I wish you luck because of all the places to not be able to order from, Mattel would break my heart. I live in Canada, and they do ship here.

They ship to Germany, but strangely enough only the dolls. When I tried to orders t-shirts and other merchandise, I got the message that they couldn't be delivered to my country. I have ordered though dolls few times without problems. Weird!

Slowly but surely they are making there way to the Walmart, Targets.
Ily4Ever from JAKKS PACIFIC arrived at Target where I live.
(Walmart is running behind on stocking up on the Barbie Dream Besties and Ily4ever dolls.)
Walmart did get Jack and Sally Ily4ever Jakks Pacific doll, she is super cool.
I bought two basics: Mickey/Belle and two deluxe which comes with extra fashions.
I got Ariel a blonde doll with high pony and Stitch with red hair.
The Jakks Pacific Ily4ever dolls have great hair and there joints articulation are better than Disney brand.

Why cant they rerelease The Stepmother, Anastasia and Drizella. The queen og hart (movie acurate), Peter Pan (movie acurate), Yzma (movie accurate), Vanessa, Blue fairy and Pinocchio.

Couldn’t take my eyes off the Blind Teresa. The other girl is cute. Mattel should have released both down syndrome dolls at the same time. But that outfit is serving; the entire Teresa is the business. Looking it up now

All these celebrities dolls , pass . Same with those who are modeled after a famous entertainer like the wicked dolls or the Barbie the movie dolls . I am not into celebrity worship . The Disney princesses however are a pleasant surprise . They look beautiful and I love the boxes . Perfect for display .

I did have that Ariel 1997 with the pink dress and it was a scam it was just the front of the dress because after you could transform into the bottom part of her mermaid tail and it looks ugly

The Holiday Angel doll's makeup reminds me of a parakeet more than an elf. She could be fun to redress as a tropical bird queen or that banana company fruit basket lady.
I really want this new Margot Barbie, but not the Ken so I'm not eager to pay 100 dollars for this set. Still thinking about it. She's so pretty and her outfit is so cute! I need another Barbie the Movie inspired three set fashion pack.
