I remember hearing so many songs growing up that I didn't understand the meaning behind, ha ha. Don't Trust Me and Starstrukk by 3OH!3, Hey Ya! and Miss Jackson by Outkast, I Write Sins Not Tragedies by P!@TD, Timber and Hotel Room Service with Pitbull, a lot of Usher and Jason Derulo songs... And not even just sexually or romantically toned songs, either. I genuinely didn't realize that Pumped Up Kicks by Foster the People was about school sh**ters and Paper Planes by MIA had multiple meanings. I really think that truly growing up is developing maturity and understanding of the world you're in, and music kinda proves it.
I was singing these in kindergarten at school knowing everything and I would have people sing along I'm only 12 now
