That’s a good point and is exactly why I almost never do hourly jobs. But it’s a matter of personal preference and it’s always good to have the option of hourly contracts. If you don’t want hourly contracts, just discuss with your clients that you’d like a fixed price. I’ve shifted many hourly job posts to fixed price this way

I told them, "I am uncomfortable working on this project due to religious reasons" they canceled the orders without affecting the completion rate.
