    Hey Mufaro. I need your help. I think we share a similar CA journey, in a sense that I also did my undergrad BAcc degree as a full time student at UJ. However, it's only now 2 years later that I'm beginning with my CTA at Unisa. I'm starting with level 1. Now my problem is that, as you've mentioned that spending time on the theory and not practicing questions is no recipe for passing CTA.
    But my issue is that I haven't been doing this for 2 years because of financial problems. I fell victim to restudying the theory because I haven't been on my books for such a long time. How would you advise me to study effectively, taking into account that I haven't been at school for the past 2 years?

    • @MufaroMYT
      @MufaroMYT  3 года назад +1

      Hi There. Try to refer back to your undergraduate notes when you attempt a question you felt is difficult. It is a good thing you are starting with CTA level 1. Trust that you still remember your work. And you will be back into it. You may need to spend more time since u were not studying for 2 years. I hope that if you are working. Your work is not too demanding.

      I was not part of a CTA support program. I would say if you can affordit go for it, they seem to be helpful, so is the word on the street. but most important make sure you have enough time to go through your work on your own.

    hi this is really fruitful thanks a lot. i need your help ,this year im doing my 3rd year at a non saica accredited institution, so ill apply at UNISA next year ,advance diploma in accounting sciences so im asking that where can i get funding and while you were doing CTA did you get funding?

      I am glad you found the video useful. I hear that NSFAS no longer considers giving funding for CTA, you can look into AWCA, im just not sure if they consider UNISA students. Or other private bursaries out there. I am just not too sure

      Hi there, I hope you found the video helpful. I have posted a few videos around CTA. I don't really know how to mentor someone. But I wish you all the best, work hard and don't forget to rest and put your mental health first. Should you have further questions my email address is in my description box

    I have a Bcom HR Management degree but I am interested in branching into the accounting stream. I obtained my degree from Unisa. Will I have to start from scratch and do Bcom Financial accounting from level 1? Or, is there an alternative in a form of a bridging course before I do my CTA? Please advise

    • @MufaroMYT
      @MufaroMYT  3 года назад

      Hi Prudence. I do not want to lie. I do not know. Easpecially because HR management is very different to accounting. The bridging course to CTA is usually done by people that have bcom financial accounting. You might have to start from first year. But you can do more research on UNISA's page.

      Yes u will need to start a B com Financial Accounting degree. HR management is totally different form Bcom FA that u have to do when going CTA route.

      @@allthingsluxury6877 I was told I can only do that if my BCOM was finance or accounting related. My BCOM was HR, which has nothing to do with accounting or finance. Oh well
