I love that rough start because it sounds different and unique
Keep in mind, this was done in the 80s, long after they were in their prime. I agree that it got off to a rocky start, but I think they recovered fairly well.

It was 50's, plus this is was a relatively new musical genre and people were really getting into it. I don't particularly see how people can be into modern "music" myself, but as long as you believe you're right, that's all that matters.

Carl Feaster, the lead singer of the Chords and Claude Feaster was also part of the original group, I know this as fact for they are my uncles, the Crew cuts are not the original singers od ShaBoom, this was won over in courts of ownership, thought Sha-boom was a big hit in the 50's the also produce a album with others songs such as "Cross Over Bridge" with Claude Feaster and " "Little Maiden" I miss my uncles very much, to hear Carl sing live was remarkable, his voice will shake the room. They we my mothers brothers, Ten boys and three girl, my mother was the last Feasted of the immediate family see passed on July 2. 2013 at the age 93. And Yes Bennie, it was the first Rock and Roll of the 50s< the theme song for the Landlord and the Children Move "Cars"
