What a poignant irony that this diabolical event has exposed the world to the briefest of glimpses into the lives of great artists like Oleg and Maria who, with many others, ceaselessly fly around the world bringing consummate skill, beauty and excellence to the public, far beyond the reward and glare of celebrity. I salute these humble, extraordinary artists, and all who continue their work all over the world in quiet dignity.

So haunting to watch this footage, knowing what came after that with her death-she was far too young. 34 with her whole life and career ahead of her. God it’s not fair.
