I see a lot of complaints of this product in regard to how it sounds but I don’t have any issues with mine. Mine sounds good and works just as intended. I am super happy with it. It’s a great and innovative piece of technology I really think Mackie can build off this product and it will be even better over time as they make improvements and as technology advances. Mackie opened up a door of endless possibilities with the Showbox . Again I really like mine, just do your research before you buy it to make sure it has a role to play in what you do and how you play and produce your music . For me and what I do it works and sounds beautifully.
@@anthonylynchmusic You are almost certainly right. Many music channels have advertised this product. But almost no one shows the recorded sound "live" of this box on a smartphone. And if they do, the box sounds terrible.
This device is meant to be the smallest, lightest and fastest connectable equipment you can get. If you want stereo sound and carry a second speaker, then it would not anymore be the smallest, lightest nor the fastest connectable equipment... My suggestion is if you want a great stereo setup while also battery powered, buy a ZOOM LIVETRAK L-8 any 2 Mackie battery powered speakers. That would cost you about 1100 euro which is 600 euro less than a pair of Mackie Showbox speakers (1700 euro). You´re welcome.
@AIexOut-A-Magic-x6w that isn't an answer to my question. I want to take the signal from the Showbox and send via XLR to another battery powered speaker. I've tried and got a horrible sound. Does the slave speaker need to be non powered?
@@jlepre752 If the signal was powered, you would have blown up your active speaker and you could still smell the smoke in your room... so it´s not. Did you use the XLR output or the 6,35mm jack output?
This speaker is so bad unfortunately. I'm in love with the mackie freeplay which still is the best small amp for busking ever made. You should have sticked with it improving it. This amp seems like a toy. Great functionality but the quality..Oh my god it sounds so bad when the volume si up. Tons of distortion at low volume already. It's big and can't manage the volume of the small freeplay. Such a shame I had to return it right away

Super helpful. Thank you!
For musicians is important quality sound. No 50 buttons and color cables. In video is no one second of sound this device.
it sounds awful, no headroom at all, basically it's a ripoff

How can I send my signal to another powered speaker? I tried the out, but the sound was horrible,
They need to offer a slave speaker to pair with this one
@@lastxp What is that? I have a few powered speakers including portable PA that all sound terrible. What is this Slave speaker that you speak of?

Yes. I checked demo for Mackie Freeplay (on CK Music MY and others) and this box sounds very clearly.
