And she instead turns out to be almost exactly like her dad lol I’m sorry, for as much as this cover got me teary-eyed, reading this interpretation made me laugh because Charlie really does seem to have only inherited her height, empathy, and possession of a nose from Lilith, all the rest of her everything is evidently from Lucifer. Not saying that’s bad, a rebellious dreamer who cares very much about other people is wonderful. They really got the best child they could have possibly had - a bright and ambitious Lucifer (pre-Fall optimism included) with Lilith’s hope and activism. She’s a true angel.
I love the idea that for Lucifer this is the original “More than Anything” and just like the song he sang with his wife, he sang it with his daughter as the reprise. But for Charlie that was the original and her reprise was with Vaggie, I just love the idea of this song being something passed down much like a gift through the family. ❤️
The family heirloom isn’t any great artifact or powerful item, it’s a song, whose tune will always unite them together even when sang with different words to different people. They passed down something that could only be between family, their love for one another. That, is the true inheritance of the Morningstars.
