Getting 4x6 and 4x7 back to back is such a treat - two of my favorite episodes! No matter how many times I’ve watched the scene between Tyrion and Oberyn, it still hits me hard. “That’s not a monster, I told Cersei. That’s just a baby.” 😭
Maisie Williams really owns the part of Arya! For a young girl with no acting experience what so ever going into this she has made Arya one of my top favorite characters. I also like the interaction that Arya has with the Hound. The writing here is fantastic!
All the child cast on this show is incredibly impressive, but George talked endlessly during one of my film classes’ interview with him about how much he adored the 3 kids playing the Stark kids - Maisie, Sophie, and Isaac - he always said that they were so lucky to have gotten those three because the story and the show needed them to carry so much as they got older, and he was very proud of them for doing such amazing work

Peter Dinklage did a super job of acting when his character Tyrion hears what his sister did to him in his crib as a baby. That scene is one of my favorites!
Do you see the similarities between A Christmas Carol and Tyrion’s scenes? In the latter, three warriors pay him a visit. Each represents an aspect of time. Jaime is Tyrion’s past, Bronn his present, and Oberyn his unknown future.
That Sansa baelish prediction is a wowzer one of the best guesses I have seen a reactor make ... Very impressive bravo 👏👏he is going to love how his prediction is right on point!!
Love the look on Steve's face as he gradually works out that Oberyn is about to stand for Tyrion, and like Lacey, I always get emotional at the story Oberyn tells. Superb episode and a fabulous reaction :-)
Fun fact, the "actor" playing the mountain isn't an actor, he's Hafthor Bjornson, and he's literally the strongest man on the planet. He's the current champion of world strongman, worlds ultimate strongman, and Arnold strongman. Strangely enough he's younger than the dude who plays Jojen reed, I think he's only 25 or 26 in this season, dude has actually gotten even bigger over the last 5 years.
I am not going back to sleep, Sansa realized. My head is all a tumult. She pushed her pillow away reluctantly, threw back the blankets, went to her window, and opened the shutters. Snow was falling on the Eyrie. Outside the flakes drifted down as soft and silent as a memory. Was this what woke me? Sansa left the shutters open as she dressed. ( Just like the NED ) She donned silken small clothes and a linen shift, and over that a warm dress of blue lambswool. Two pairs of hose for her legs, boots that laced up to her knees, heavy leather gloves, and finally a hooded cloak of soft white fox fur. Sansa eased open the door, and made her way down the winding stair. The snow drifted down and down, Drifting snowflakes brushed her face as light as lover’s kisses, and melted on her cheeks. At the center of the garden, beside the statue of the weeping woman that lay broken and half-buried on the ground, she turned her face up to the sky and closed her eyes. She could feel the snow on her lashes, taste it on her lips. It was the taste of Winterfell. The taste of innocence. The taste of dreams. The snow drifted down and down, all in ghostly silence, and lay thick and unbroken on the ground. All color had fled the world outside. It was a place of whites and blacks and greys. White towers and white snow and white statues, black shadows and black trees, the dark grey sky above. A pure world, Sansa thought. I do not belong here. Yet she stepped out all the same. Her boots tore ankle-deep holes into the smooth white surface of the snow, yet made no sound. Sansa drifted past frosted shrubs and thin dark trees, and wondered if she were still dreaming. When Sansa opened her eyes again, she was on her knees. She did not remember falling. It seemed to her that the sky was a lighter shade of grey. Dawn, she thought. Another day. Another new day. It was the old days she hungered for. Prayed for. But who could she pray to? The garden had been meant for a godswood once, she knew, but the soil was too thin and stony for a weirwood to take root. A godswood without gods, as empty as me. She remembered a summer’s snow in Winterfell when Arya and Bran had ambushed her as she emerged from the keep one morning. They’d each had a dozen snowballs to hand, and she’d had none. Bran had been perched on the roof of the covered bridge, out of reach, but Sansa had chased Arya through the stables and around the kitchen until both of them were breathless. She might even have caught her, but she’d slipped on some ice. Her sister came back to see if she was hurt. When she said she wasn’t, Arya hit her in the face with another snowball, but Sansa grabbed her leg and pulled her down and was rubbing snow in her hair. Sansa also reflects on the day they left Winterfell: I thought my song was beginning that day, but it was almost done. Sansa makes 3 snowballs, but she has no one to throw them at.She pushed two of her snowballs together, added a third, packed more snow in around them, before very long Sansa knew it was Winterfell. She found twigs and fallen branches beneath the snow and broke off the ends to make the trees for the godswood. For the gravestones in the lichyard she used bits of bark. This whole scene is EVERYTHING for Sansa. LF kisses Sansa which angered her and repulsed her, she reminds him I could be your daughter.
@@brienneoffriggintarth5510 The books are the best, even better and more intricate than the show, if that's possible. Everyone who loves GOT should read all five (so far, GRRM!) of them.
The Oberyn scene with Tyrion... my god. The acting is just on another level. The acting in this show is so good, that it's weirder to see the actors OUT of character. That scene is just the perfect example of that sentiment.
Lacey, you're sneaky! I saw that "no one"... Oberyn's speech is haunting. It always gets to me too, Lacey. Steve is so invested I just love it!! Great discussion again. Two posts in one day! What a joy!
my thoughts are Little Finger, after Lysa pointed out the things she did for him. He manipulated the situation by using his knowledge of how jealous she was, so when he kissed Sansa he knew Lysa was watching, and it got her in turn to try to throw Sansa from moon window. Little Finger predicted she would do that, what a better way to get her by the window .Where he could turn on charm at right time to set up the last insult and the push. That could be considered a very masterpiece of a manipilation. ]:) ]:P
Oh, Oberyn. I love him so much. All of Sophie's scenes should be in the snow. She's one of those people that just looks even more beautiful in a setting like that.

I don't think Jaime could have fought for Tyrion, even if he wanted to. I'm not sure of this, but there has to be some sort of code in place, or at the very least it would look VERY wrong if the Commander of the Kingsguard fought as a champion for the man accused of killing the King. Tyrion would not have wanted him to go through with it, I think. He knows on some level how it would further ruin Jaime's reputation as a knight in the whole realm. He is already called the Kingslayer, for murdering a previous king. Tyrion knows how much that bothers and hurts his brother. I think that whole conversation between them, was just Tyrion trying to find some hope. He would not let Jaime do that, when it came to it I think. I think his real plan was always Bronn.

Lacey, this is for Steve since he’s very enamored with the production of the show. The show runners/executive producers are David Benioff and DB Weiss aka David & Dan, D&D or Benioff & Weiss and they are great!
Nevi1097 still better than most things on TV, it’s not easy to run a production of this size, even if you might find it questionable, their works still deserve to be commended - very few people would have even had the ability to bring any of this to life - adaptation of a work that GRRM purposely wrote to be impossible to make, that alone should earn them praise - everyone wants to be all “oh they were good until this or that” but how many people saying those things could have done what they had done? How many people could have brought the show to life the way David and Dan did? Not many, I’ll tell you that. What they did, what they still do, is still great and deserves far more acknowledgement than people seem to be willing to give. I feel like people have forgotten that this show wouldn’t even exist in any way without what they continue to do. GRRM may have written the books and charted this story, but David and Dan brought it to life in a way nobody else could have done, people should be more grateful to them for what they have achieved. But I suppose it’s easier to judge and pick things apart And to be fair, a lot of the great scenes of the first few seasons are in fact stories that David and Dan made up or added in, GRRM even says it in various commentaries. So their own stuff are among many of the greats.
@@CaptainPikeachu no one was critiquing their adaptation of the books. i was critiquing their scripts for AFTER they caught up with the books. Their's a huge difference between adapting a story and writing your own. D&D did a great job adapting. Not a great job writing. They did add some of their own scenes and changed things up(some better, some worse), but none even compare to the big moments and nuance dialogue that GRRM wrote. And looking at the changes and new things they made from S5 and beyond.. questionable. GRRM still helped them with pivotal scenes he hadn't published yet, which were the best. I'm not judging or picking things apart. I'm critiquing their decisions, which is something i wouldn't do unless i genuinely loved and cared for the show. D&D had some great and some terrible choices they made. Unfortunately, imo, the bad outweighed the good in later seasons. Also you can't deny that some decisions they made w the story was for audience shock. It's really hard to compete with GRRM's years of experienced writing; he has the whole world and answers fleshed out in a way TV cannot replicate. And he's spent years perfecting his books, D&D were forced to write and film on a time crunch.
Fun fact for Steven...the new casted mountain is a strong man and he was also almost drafted to the Denver Broncos! Imagine him rushing someone on the field? Yikes!
No need to worry about being the last person to see GoT. My wife still has not seen a single episode and probably never will no matter how much I beg her to watch it with me. I decided to take a break and check out your GoT reactions and will eventually get around to most of the other shows. You two are officially my favorite reactors.
Can a little bit of credit be given to David Benioff & Dan Weiss (screenwriters/showrunners) for their brilliance in adapting what GRRM deliberately wrote as an "unadaptable" story. No matter what anyone says, I feel they did their best with what was given to them to work with. We are still anticipating season 8, so they aparently did something right. They actually won awards too. lol Great reaction, again, tho. :-) ♡

great up until they catch up to the books that is.. then they make up their own stuff and it's.. questionable
But I suppose it’s easier to judge and pick things apart
And to be fair, a lot of the great scenes of the first few seasons are in fact stories that David and Dan made up or added in, GRRM even says it in various commentaries.
The North looks good on Sansa, especially true, I think, in seasons 6 and 7. Steve covering his face with the hat was funny. :D
"Wow..." *Slowly brings pizza into frame.*
I can't even imagine how you could hate someone so deeply from the moment they were born. He's been hated by his family his entire life.
Peter did the "300" push on her..lol
Fun fact for Steven...the new casted mountain is a strong man and he was also almost drafted to the Denver Broncos! Imagine him rushing someone on the field? Yikes!
Da most incredible push in TV history!
Happy Birthday Lacey!!! I don't know if I'm early or late, but I hope you have a great day!!
12:21 😂😂😂😂😂

@@CraigKostelecky that's true 💕
No need to worry about being the last person to see GoT. My wife still has not seen a single episode and probably never will no matter how much I beg her to watch it with me.
Anyway, I just started watching you guys about a month ago and binge-watched TWD with you guys up to the second half of Season 10. I decided to take a break and check out your GoT reactions and will eventually get around to most of the other shows. You two are officially my favorite reactors.
IMO if Jamie accepted to be his champion, Tyrion would have been poisoned or killed to make it look like suicide before the trial.
“I have only loved one woman, only one, my entire life: ONLY CAT " !
Pedro Pascal's first scene recorded and he does _that..._ I felt so bad that I had hated his character on Bones.
Happy birthday Lacey!!!Can't wait for next episode.
They actually won awards too. lol
Great reaction, again, tho. :-) ♡
Great episode. Happy Birthday Lacey!
It's a Two-Fer... Wednesday? YAY!
and you guys will get a two-fer tomorrow too :) 8 and 9!!!!
@@DuoReacts You're spoiling us!
Lacey take note in this episode that Melisandre the red woman, when she is in the bath & when she got out she does not have her necklace on. And she is still young looking. Just saying for future episode S6E1 The Red Woman
Lacey started to cry. lol
By the way, the new mountain is actually a strongman. He has set some pretty impressive records
He's also huge
Yep, the actual, literal, record-breaking strongest man in the world.
10:10 Perfect analysis....
Great episode, great reactions, great opinions. I have read some of the comments below, Steve, you are impressing a lot of people. If I ever come out to your part of Illinois, the chances are real small, but I would like to take the 2 of you, or your entire family, out to lunch. That's better than dinner since at my age I have an early bedtime. It has been said that season 4 is one of the top 2 seasons of GoT, and you are learning why. Looking forward to episode 8.
Hahaha Sam, we would be down for lunch LOL whether or not it's past your bedtime!! We know all about bedtimes in this house haha
Two episodes in one day. Fucking hell man.
The scene between Tyrion and Oberyn is still one of the greatest in GoT imo.
The Mountain, pfah! Loras Tyrell knocked him on his ass. How tough could he be? (Don't answer that!).
Another great job guys..as always..heads up, I'm probably gonna be moving to Chicago heights in april..believe that's about hour and a half noth of you guys..not for sure yet, but pretty good chance..hate the thought of giving up this Tampa weather, but some things are more important..God bless..you guys are amazing and awesome..😀😀
Yep, Chicago is about an hour and a half north of us :) Going from Tampa to Chi-town will be a big difference, especially when we are talking about the weather!!! Hope you like wind LOL
@@DuoReacts ..born and raised in southwest Virginia..brutal weather won't be new to me...will know in next couple weeks for sure..opportunity turned up..gotta decide if the benefit outweighs year round 80 degree weather..cant wait til Saturday..looking forward to the live event..🙂🙂🙂..never been part of one actually....be well..God bless..

🙋 Q) Once he's all caught up, does Steve intend to be on this side of the fence, and watch some other GOT Reaction Vids on RUclips? Another pleasure this great show brings us all!
Just FYI, Arya’s kill count is at 64, according to one website, at the end of season 7.
Arya is catching a body count.
Thanks for those TWO.. woo hoo👏
You should let Steve know that the new recasted. Gregor Clegane (The Mountain) is in real live Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson The current worlds strongest man.
Wow went to the doc, came back to a 2nd video.
