Great job! Very clever! We did this job on a 2004 and saved time and effort compared to removing the ball joint and tie rod end and caliper. Just be careful of the brake line. It will be very stressed and will likely break the outer cover as it did on ours and I see it also did on yours.

Good job , but you still need to get alignment done, i would rather remove ball joint to remove axle

unnecessary, just remove the tapered nut on the ball joint. it's faster and won't require an alignment afterwards....

The seals aren't bad... when you take out the half shaft It's completely normal, I just didn't know that😁 So use some kind of container...
