I've met Dick twice and he is exactly like this. Completely genuine.
Michael McCabe Met him in SF. Thanked him, and he gave me a signed spoken word cd.
One of the greatest Punks ever
couldn't agree more. not just one of the greatest punks ever but a genuinely nice guy too. chatted to him over a couple pints a few times at various shows here and there.
xou dou A brilliant man.
If you like punk,or just loud guitar music,Subhumans for me are the only band,in any genre, who have never put out a bad record, even their new stuffs good
Saw Subhumans at their original stomping ground in Bradford on Avon a number of years ago. We asked Dick if he would mind if we handed out Hunt Saboteur leaflets at the gig. Not only did he say yes, but he gave us a shout out. Top man! Top band(s)!
Grew up listening to them. The thing I love about them is that their songs never get old unlike most groups back then. Got fed up with conflict after 32 years hearing the same thing. Crass was a great band alongside Icons of Filth🎉
Interviewer kept removing the
Mic, before he was finished. Dick is a legend
"You guys are actually one of the best live punkrock acts..." I agree on that. Hope to meet you again in north germoney.
First bar I ever drank in, when I was 15 lol
Dick Lucas is an amazing wordsmith!
True to the core....always! Luv it!
Hands down the best lyricist ever!
Nick Blinkos pretty good as well though...
Rad questions.. always wondered bout his mum
Haha I can't believe what he's saying about Peelie and how he recorded with two decks. EXACTLY how I did it , and later regretted. Uncanny......
....UNCANNILY UNCANNY (with nobs and glitter added)!
Good interviewer Dick is a great fella
He gave me the same answer when I asked him about a new release.
'Onwards and Upwards' is the best 'Pick yourself up and sort ur head out' (and heart) record EVER. From what I've heard. I've heard similar comments about Screwdriver , whoever they are.
Amazing interview.
Best explanation of the culmination of punk at 4:30
The Rizzilos shirt made this for me!!!
I met him on the pisser lol and he was awesome even then lol. No lie
The most cushtie gadge in anarcho !!!
Calm down sluts , it's not a competition !
and that's maybe the best Sunday school too.
whey aye lad
I find the Americanism "Your Guyzez" so stupid. Anyway, great video.
It’s regional. We say youse guys in Chicago. They say yins in Pittsburgh, etc.
For me it's between NO and I Dont Wanna Die that tie as my favorite songs of theirs. But Folk Punk is where original punk ethos are at now ( well, past 10 years) but all Pat the Bunny and Chris Burrows works especially The Anorexic Olsen Twin and Johnny Hobo and the Freight Trains show punks evolved not dead
Folk punk....
Cringe
Yeah, because I want Punk to sound more and more like Simon & Garfunkel or some crap like that. If people no longer want the aggressive sound, fine, move on and be done with it, but 'folk' Punk? Ahahahaha.
