I figured it maybe something like that, or that he just didn't want to do another Santa Movie. It could've went either way, really. But I love that they made a back story for him.
I want to see Charlie again yes I know they showed him already in this series when Scott asked him if he could take over Santa Claus but he can't cause he's married and his wife who thinks he has a job in Canada doesn't want to move however I wanna see Charlie again and this time I want his wife to find out that her father-in-law is Santa Claus and she's mad at Charlie for not telling her that because if she knew Scott was Santa Claus and that she could go to North Pole she probably would jump on board in a heartbeat I want to see that.
But in reality reality reality the actor aged like a human does and they couldn't justify an aging elf other than he gave up the ability to be one obviously knowing what the actor looks like because he's done recent work they've made him look much heavier and tried to put aging makeup on him probably to accelerate the aging process of giving up being an elf. I'm so confused with myself because I could have sworn I've seen all three movies and yet I don't remember these scenes at all or why Tim Allen looks so old here I know at one point he stopped looking like Santa Claus and that was the one where he had to get married but wasn't part 3 the one with Jack Frost I don't know maybe I need to rewatch these again I'm missing chunks of time here LOL
Actually the actor was set to play Bernard in the 3rd movie, but he’d stated that he didn't like how the character was developed. Instead of Disney rewriting the script they dropped Bernard.
Are you talking about the shots of Bernard here in the video confusing you? Pretty sure they just rebooted the series a year or two ago on Disney's streaming platform, and it's from that(not the original trilogy..... God it feels gross to pretend the 2 sequels are a part of the original film in anyway lol)
nah santa clause 3 was released in 2006 and he had cancer in 2011. he just aged out of the role because the elves are supposed to look like children and they were already pushing it with him in the first 2
Bernard wasn't in the third film because the actor's filming schedule with his TV show, Numb3rs, contradicted with filming for Santa Clause 3. The novelization uses his character though.
Honestly, probably the best explanation they could've given for a character who's supposed to look like an immortal child's actor naturally aging out of the role. A creative solution for a natural occurrence, though I'll admit, I didn't know they made a fourth one where they brought Bernard back. 🤔
According to the Santa clause tv show on Disney plus. Spoiler warning for the show. Curtis and Bernard went on kribble krabble ( the elf version of vacation time.) and never came back. Which is why in the show the new head elf is Betty, who also has a husband named Noel who considers Santa( Scott Calvin) as his best friend.
@@isaquinos_vlogs thanks! I know Bernard reason for not coming back so I was just curious about Curtis though it have a good chance due to the same reason as well. 😋
Gives a new concept to half-elven... less Elrond, more Peter Pan. Edit: I know Peter isn't technically an elf, although some versions of him give him pointed ears. But I'm thinking of the playful demeanor.
I think the series is okay, but it needs a better budget & better writers that can write a better plot & write a better dialogue for the newer characters that are shown.
The series is really good. Just like the movies, there are places in the script/plot line that need better lines and execution, but all considered the series is well done. I look forward to each episode and each season. Although, (projecting here) if the plot continues to give over the "reins" to the son, it will be the end of the show. I watch because of Tim Allen. The son's character as played and written isn't strong enough to pull me back in when he becomes Santa and Tim Allen leaves the show.
actually jack frost went back in time and became santa. so it was only in jeopardy in the perspective of scott. everyone else thought it was normal. because for them it was normal.
They implied he blew up from stress. Literally. In the new series' second season, Noel at one point wears a little watch that helps him track his level of stress, because a dangerous amount of stress will literally blow up an elf.
@@nothingisrealnothingtogeth6833 later in the show Scott tells Betty and Noel that the last two head elves Bernard and Curtis went on kribble krabble and never came back. So Curtis went to the human world just like Bernard did and never returned.
@@isaquinos_vlogs I mean, yeah I remember the insane continuity error of him later saying that, but I just assumed Curtis must have blown up while on Kribble Krabble.
I had wished Bernard's marriage had been to Wednesday Addams. I used to joke that the two had been secretly dating since before Tim Allen became The Santa Clause.
But Curtis definitely believed in science but they didn't get on him about it but the elf with the glass is there just like elves don't believe in science blah blah blah
Curtis high key the worst character depicted in almost any movie. Spencer Breslin rode his sister’s fame as long as he could. Good god he killed that movie.

I was SO psyched to see Bernard again, lol!
The actor couldn't appear due to commitment to Numbers which he was doing at the time. Nice backstory explaining what happened though.
He also contracted thyroid cancer around that time.
Also it would be out of character for Bernard to be easily manipulated by Jack Frost as Bernard is always no nonsense
I figured it maybe something like that, or that he just didn't want to do another Santa Movie. It could've went either way, really. But I love that they made a back story for him.
I've always loved Bernard.
He was solving crimes as Bernard Numbers.
The reason why he left because he did a show about him solving crimes with math it's a good show my parents loved it.
I had such a crush on Bernard when I was little😂
He went to play in Numb3rs 😉

I think it would be cool to see Laura, Neil, and Lucy too.
@Musiclover15-en9ft and them to how old would the three of them be right now.
@. Laura and Neil would be about the same age as Scott. Lucy, I would think would be in her 20’s.
The new season said all the elves like Curtis, Betty and Bernard went on Kribble crabble and all found better lives outside the North Pole.
I heard u heard im 2% Transylvania metropolis ehh ya. Its ok with me...its a morg
Curtis was never Head Elf. Head Elf's are the only ones who go on Kribble Krabble, right?
@aspenstvrs. In the third movie he was and it’s mentioned in the series that he went on Kribble Krabble and never came back.
You don't remember these scenes from the films because they're not from the films.
They're from the series on Disney Plus.
To me, it's like Data from Star Trek. We'd still rather see the original actor, even if they've aged. Because we can look past it.
Actually the actor was set to play Bernard in the 3rd movie, but he’d stated that he didn't like how the character was developed. Instead of Disney rewriting the script they dropped Bernard.

Explain why papa Elf ij Elf is an old man then if Elves aren't meant to age
Likely that was during the time when David Krumholtz was battling thyroid cancer.
nah santa clause 3 was released in 2006 and he had cancer in 2011. he just aged out of the role because the elves are supposed to look like children and they were already pushing it with him in the first 2
He helped the FBI solve crimes using math.

Bernard was absolutely a favorite but damn, that must of been some Bee
Cool he is in a show
Break it down, he had the appearance of a teenager or man in his early 20s so he married someone that looked old enough to be his grandma
Bernard grew too old to be on it.
He went on Kribble Krabble, actually
But where’s JUDY!!?
idk maybe she is old
Yea that’s what I was wondering cause Curtis was in the movie and Bernard well we know and Judy’s story never got told yet🤔
Judy was replaced by Abby in Santa clause 2
@@AlienObserver-vv3mpthat sucks... honestly I didn't even realized she was replaced in the second movie lol

Bernard was truly the loyal elf of chief. just like betty.
He wasn’t in the 3rd movie due to filming conflict. He was filming the series Numb3rs.
He left to solve real crimes in the TV show Numb3rs of course
And here I thought he was still serving his house arrest from the second movie
He was doing tv show called numbers and there were conflict doing both. So he sacrificed santa claus 3 for the other show. Just be honest....
