- The biggest advantage you'll enjoy when using a tablet for graphic design is having the ability to draw freehand like you would with a paintbrush. In today's tutorial we'll taking advantage of that benefit by creating a dripping paint text effect with Procreate for the iPad.
In order to do this, we'll be sampling a photo of a sunset for its composition, then using the Liquify effect to turn those vibrant colors into dripping paint in the shape of a hand-drawn letter.
The sunset image can be downloaded here: pixabay.com/photos/beach-suns...
The Milkshake font can be downloaded here: www.fontsquirrel.com/fonts/mi...
It would be easier and much less jagged if you rasterise the letter and then clipping mask the image onto the letter. Using the select tool always has jaggies
Perfect!!
Pllllllease keep creating and posting. Amazing channel
Amazing!!!!
Nice!
Thank you g
That’s super cool , can you use that style for a whole word logo ??
Absolutely, you'll just have to do each letter at a time.
This is pretty cool. I get lost in between erasing the background. Wish this worked for me.
I'm guessing it's the selection part. It's one of those things that needs to be followed to the tap. I messed this up a few times myself.
Let me clear this, when you go to liquify the default settings are “your” settings don’t match your settings and you get your desired drip 🙌
must of done something wrong but the dripping thing did not work for me :(( also what should i do with the layer that it's hidden?
Hey I have tried this about 100 times. I cannot get it to work.. I think it’s all good until the selection portion of the video. When I select the image and then erase the background there’s no letter there. Everything just gets erased. Any help would be appreciated.
im having the same issue!
Sounds like your selection got lost along the way, which happens very easily. After inverting the selection try not to tap on anything else other than selecting the layer.
Thanks mate but not working for erasing the background
Hey Nick that Milk Shake font is no longer available.
They must've removed it. That's a shame. It's still available if you do a Google search for it. I was able to find it hosted elsewhere.
@@Make_It_Mobile ok I'll Google it also
@@Make_It_Mobile hey I found it and I downloaded it thank you.
