    Our daughter just had one yesterday, absolutely terrifying. Is the child breathing when they have these seizures? We couldn’t tell if ours was or not but she did start to go a grey colour which makes me think she was barely breathing. Would be very reassuring for next time to know she is breathing even the smallest amount.

    I had this type of seizure as a baby. I was around 18 months old and my mother was giving me a bath. She said that I was there one minute, then suddenly fell forward into the tub. Still hear about this today and I'm 22 haha

      Please I need the answer to this question too. My son turns blue. Is this suffocation. And if oxygen is not flowing to the brain wouldn’t that issue lead to brain being damaged

    • @Miguel-jn5bi
      @Miguel-jn5bi Год назад +3

      If your not medically trained call 911
      If your trained and
      If you have a BVM begin to bag / oxygenate and call paramedics to transfer to a pediatric center.
      Prolonged seizures are dangerous.
      Many things need to be ruled out.
      May need a CT scan
      Kids who do not return to their baseline may need to be admitted for further study
      The first seizure is free.
      Meaning we don't treat the first seizure.
      Only 20% chance you might have a second.
      We don't want to commit you to life long medications.
      But a second seizure, then you have an 80% chance of further seizures
