Thank you for the tutorial for my 2010 Dyna Super Glide Custom. I will look for more items of information as I get used to my new toy.
I totally appreciate everything you demonstrated I am following your footsteps completely thank you very much
Yup that was me yesterday. Lol. Great video.
I have the exact same bike.. The pig tail for the battery tender can be run thru a hole/slot in the plastic case that holds the battery and then tie wrapped out to the side. No need to drill a hole in the cover.
You didn't show it from the start. There is a plastic piece under the battery cover. How does it come off? I hate prying at things incase I break something. Btw, my battery tender just comes out the other side, problem solved.
You don't have to drill a hole run the wires straight out the back and plug in from the left hand side
Agree.
Hi. Nice super guide. I've got the same bike love it. The wife got me the exact same Speedo for Xmas. Money well spent. I can tell you love it also. Keep Up The Fun Stuff... Steve From P.E.I.
Just bought a superglide, when it was delivered it started first time and due to excitement I started the bike again and later the day, when tried starting the battery was dead. This is my first Harley
Hope you were able to get the battery replaced easily. It seems like batteries these days don't last as long as they used to. It used to be you could get 4-5 years out of one, and these days, I'm surprised to get 3 years, even when using a battery tender regularly. You are going to love your Dyna. My Super Glide is literally my dream bike still to this day, and I've had it since 2015. Such a fun bike for around town, smooth on the highway, and it can be setup for touring relatively easily, too.
@@MGsToybox was really worried I bought a lemon but figured it why it happened. The ring around the ignition which says lock, ignition and accessories etc is loose. So, must have left it on accessories. Also the dealer I bought it from was kind enough to borrow a charger and is also going to fix the ignition issue. I still can't believe I own a Harley
How to remove and replace the seat? My 2015 DYNA has a bolt on a strap under the seat..my Touring bike is east compared to the DYNA.
Tomorrow morning, which is Saturday I am buying that same duralast gold 310 CCA ETX20L for my 97 fatboy. Its in stock at my closest store for 114.00. Thats high, but duralast and it being 310 cca is better securiiy for these harleys
Do you need to take the seat off ? I did it without taking it off is there a reason and thanks for die video .
I have trouble getting the cover to clear the catches on the top if I don't pull the seat off first. That may just be an issue with the specific seat that I have.
Watched the video with 1 purpose. Figure out what size the screw is under the cover. At 1:25 into the video it does not list the screw head size. Closest my tools fit is a T27, but my screw is sized up on my 14 year old bike. Before cranking on it I want to make sure I have to right size. Anyone know what size I need to use 100% for sure??
I hope you painted that drill hole and put a rubber grommet in, or you'll have the same cutting your wire problem
Yes! I didn't have any grommets on hand when I made the video. I did put one in later.
How’s the battery holding up?
So much better than the old one I replaced!
@@MGsToybox Very nice. I looked around for quite a bit and I ended up getting the Duracell battery which has a two year warranty.I was going to go with Duralast gold also, but they only offered a 90 day warranty. So far so good for me. Much better than getting the crappy OEM battery that HD offers. I’ve also got the 2010 Dyna it’s an FXDC. Looked all over the place for possible replacements avoiding the Harley battery all all costs. Incase you’re interested, the battery is a Duracell Ultra 20HL-BS AGM Black Case Battery.
@@AtisWorld did you get it offline or from a store?
@@10lhskater I got it from Batteries plus store out here in Southern Cali. They have a website as well.
No you run the cable under the seat and onto the side I wish I could show you a picture of what I did
This helped me so much. I just bought my first harley. A 2010 HD wide glide. Now ik where to put my battery tender
Good to hear!!
Hey man ; Before you disconnected the battery why didnt you disconnect the alarm first. You never showed us that part.
My Dyna doesn't have an alarm system. It's not that fancy!
I was bout say pop start it
I gave you a thumbs up "but" I would not have drilled my battery cover.. xxx.. you can buy new ones on ebay for $35.00
V. Good
ya got a whole garage and power outlets man; no excuse to not have a battery tender/put it on charge once a month🫤
