best advice I can give you is practice practice practice. Like anything, you will get better as you do more scans. Do some on yourself or a friend for additional practice.
the camera is sterilizable. We put it through a medical grade sterilizer and have dozens of cameras so there is no need to put anything over it since it's sterilized like all instruments.
typically just a couple of minutes but it really depends on your ability to stay open. But there are other factors, like some people have very strong tongues that push the camera out, or cheeks or lips that make it more difficult to scan. Also if you have lots going on, or bone loss, or missing teeth, those are things that could slow down the scanning process. Some areas are more difficult to get, especially if there are undercuts.

Can They Stop in Middle of Full Mouth Scan if Patient Needs to get Up During the Scan?????
Good question and the answer is yes. You can stop and start as much as you want.

@@johnschirloff836 yes. The scan can be stopped and the restarted. The software combines images taken so the scan can be done in sections.
