      Conor always took his losses well in the post fight presser but then the excuses came a week to 2 weeks later. So Izzy hasn't passed the test yet, i have faith in him though and agree everything he said here was spot on.

      @@liliputas2009 I’m not going to sit here defend, But the Adesanya fight and the other former middleweights moving up to light heavyweight fights shows clearly; that moving to light heavyweight you are taking a disadvantage:either strength or speed; pick your poison. Not to mention Jan awkward but effective striking style. He bit heavy on feints but because he always bit; not a lot of openings. Jan won this fight fair and square. But If Jone loses at heavyweight; and Adesanya wins his next title defense; the fight to make is Adesanya v Jones at light heavyweight; title be damned.

      I don't understand the people who have been saying he is making excuses. 1,.the dude had nothing but respect for his opponent and didn't make any backwards statement towards him 2, talking about what happened in the fight and how it could of/would of been different is not making excuses, just expressing his own view of the fight as he saw/felt it.
      I've lost a fight so bad in HS I was not the same for a while, that shit hurts mentally as well as physically. I can only imagine the pain a professional fighter must feel losing a fight they dedicate their life's too. Takes a mentally strong person to handle that for sure.
      Props to both fighters, any man willing to step in a cage and put it all out there like that has my respect.

    Im a Pole, my family is from Warsaw, Izzy was and still is my favorite fighter. When I heard Jan's intro song, a theme song to a world war 2 movie most polish kids loved watching growing up, it really hit home. Some nationalistic underdog pride woke up in me.. Im proud that Warsaw beast took the win.

      A former middleweight (Santos) knocked the fuck out of Jan shortly after moving up. Weight was a factor in this fight for sure, but not the reason why Izzy lost.

      Do mention that santos was way heavier....than easy. The question is was it a good strategy to go for speed only or could he had been heavier. He gazed him And even stunned him in the second. He beat tores and tores beat jons clearly does it mean jan can beat Jones or santos can beat tores ???? At the level a small details can cost u the fight. He was not the better man but he wasn't outclass

      Can't blame a guy for wanting to be great, he was very respectful of Jan from the get go, and the only fighter I know he disrespected Costa and that was because Costa and his team were very arrogant and even went out of the way to make a video reenactment of what would happen..little did Costa know he predicted his own loss.

He also said the smaller ring had nothing to do with it when it goes it against his fighting style. He could have easily just said the weight and the ring size did him in and he wouldn't have even looked like he was making things up since it's what half everyone thinks. Instead he rejected all of that and said "it is what it is" and that Jan fought the better fight.
