@@corpsefoot758 What is weird about that? It's precisely the point. During normal, non-combo gameplay, that's exactly what that feature is useful for. Or do you think it should speed up animations, just not that one particular animation?
@@kelpsie Wtf are you talking about If holding up one of your cards randomly speeds up gameplay, why didn’t they just speed up fluff-animations in general? Why let the turn-timer become yet another opponent you suddenly have to compete against?

35:30 Worth noting that even if they did gain control of Sheoldred, they would still die to Underworld Dreams unless they drew a card during your turn. If they draw at any point during their turn, Sheoldred's trigger would go on the stack, then the trigger from Underworld Dreams, which would then resolve first and since they're at one, they would take the ping and lose before they gain the two.
Granted, Elf deck only has so much variation in their sequencing, but being able to narrate it out at such speed. Even it would take me good 10s to even process it out.
I don't watch anyone else on MTG anymore, hell, I don't even play the game (except paper Commander once in a great while). But I still tune into LVD; the refined and game-focused commentary from such a veteran is just unmatched.
I really enjoy the time you put in these videos keep up the good content and you've always been a good teacher.I'm glad i've found you a long time ago 👍
Someone tried to use this on me a few days ago in my Esika Brawl deck (not Bridge; I use the front size, which cares about having lots of purely legendary creatures of a variety of mana values, and zero planeswalkers), and I got my OWN Sheoldred onto the battlefield before they could cast Peer into the Abyss on me! All of their triggers went on the stack first, and then all of MINE went on, so I gained a ton before losing a ton, and broke even! Which, ACTUALLY, would mean that if they targeted themselves, they would’ve just DIED!
20:38 yeah weird hack here, but holding a card does make the trigger animations resolve quicker (so annoying that uncontrollable Arena animations count against your timer!)
at 17:19 could opponent have sacrificed the skelleton to give a -1/-1 counter to his own yawgmoth and fizzle the heartless act? or do -1/-1 counters not count as counters?
@@laxim5786 Oh shit, you're right! I wandering why my opponent a few days ago appeared not to notice that they could fizzle my heartless act in a very similar situation, but that answers it.
Cheatengines speedhack works for the animations on MTG but you still have to wait for the server to process each event. My gut feeling on how it's coded is that the MTG client is waiting for the animations before telling the server it's auto chosen the order and drawn and in that time the server has begun counting down your turn timer. If that's the case then speedhack fast forwarding the animations would actually help in this situation. It doesn't help for things like cracking a fetch land as theres a long server wait as it streams your entire deck. Maybe you could give it a go and find out for us LegendVD?
Hey LVD! What Historic Brawl deck do you find was the most fun to run? I made the u/r jhoira artifact deck and have a blast with it. The only thing that deck was missing was chromatic orrery
What about one of my fav cards, Vito Thorn of the Dusk Rose? (and his lookalikes: Defiant Bloodlord and Marauding Blight Priest) Seem they have nice synergy with Sheo... and instakill with the Lich
Had more lifegain combo cards like Vito and Exquisite Blood, but always found myself tutoring for Mastery or Abyss, so they didn't seem to add much value.
If someone has the Gideon emblem or the cloud-kirin artifact creature I can’t remember the name, and gets negative health then how does the losing half and rounding down effect work? Would they actually gain hp?
I think LVD is right, here’s the relevant part of Rule 107.1b (via the MtG Fandom wiki) with emphasis added: “ If a calculation that would determine the result of an effect yields a negative number, zero is used instead, *unless that effect doubles or sets to a specific value a player’s life total or the power and/or toughness of a creature or creature card.* ” So essentially, you can only lose life from a “gain life” effect if that effect specifically doubles a negative amount or explicitly sets your life total to a specific, negative amount; you can see examples of these in the rulings for Enduring Angel/Angelic Enforcer and Evra, Halcyon Witness respectively.
In game 7 you could have killed the opponent the turn you played Immortal Sun, by playing Sheoldred and Peer into the Abyss (You had exactly 11 mana with the Relic of Legends).
Someone did this to me but I drew into a Teferi's protection with 3 open Mana. Cast that and proceeded to kill them. Jist took forever to discard my hand 😆

If you hold a card while Lichs Mastery goes off, the triggers go way faster. Like this you can avoid the clock running down

I sure hope it does not induce problems of manual dexterity with both players having 40 to a 100 cards in hand.

Without a better way to break the symmetry I don't think it's worth it. Necrodominance on the other hand is a slam dunk in this deck now!
